AI data-center spending reaches NVIDIA and its suppliers through different parts of the buildout: accelerator platforms, chip manufacturing and packaging, high-bandwidth memory, and manufacturing equipment. NVIDIA’s reported data-center sales are the most direct demand signal here; supplier results show relevant business exposure, but do not consistently disclose how much revenue comes from NVIDIA or AI data centers.
What does AI data-center demand mean for NVIDIA?
For NVIDIA, demand appears directly in its data-center revenue, which includes sales associated with the computing systems used in AI infrastructure. In its second-quarter fiscal 2027 results, NVIDIA attributed growth to the Blackwell Ultra ramp and demand from hyperscalers, AI-native customers, enterprises, and sovereign customers. CEO Jensen Huang described the shift this way: “AI has reached its inflection point. It’s doing useful work. Its tokens are productive and profitable. Now, compute is revenue.” These are the company’s account of its business and customers, not an independent measure of the entire AI market.

NVIDIA’s fiscal 2026 results also show that the expansion was underway before the latest quarter: its full-year revenue rose 65% year over year, while fourth-quarter data-center revenue increased 75%. The later quarterly result below indicates continued growth, but quarterly and annual comparisons cover different periods and should not be treated as directly interchangeable.

|---|---|---|
| NVIDIA — AI accelerator platform | For the quarter ended July 26, 2026, NVIDIA reported $96.2 billion in total revenue and $89.0 billion in data-center revenue; data-center revenue was up 117% year over year. | SK hynix — memory, including HBM | Q2 2026 revenue was 79.3187 trillion won. The company said record results were driven by high-value product sales amid strong AI demand, reported HBM4 mass shipments, and said it had long-term agreements with around 10 key customers. Which semiconductor suppliers benefit from AI data-center demand?
AI systems require more than accelerators. They also rely on advanced chip manufacturing and packaging, memory that can keep data moving to processors, and equipment used to expand chipmaking capacity. The companies below sit at different points in that chain, so their exposure is not equivalent.
#1 Best Overall
- AI Performance: 767 AI TOPS
- OC mode: 2632 MHz (OC mode)/ 2602 MHz (Default mode)
- Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
- Axial-tech fan design features a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
- A 2.5-slot design maximizes compatibility and cooling efficiency for superior performance in small chassis
Foundry manufacturing and advanced packaging
Foundries manufacture chips designed by other companies, while advanced packaging connects and integrates components into finished devices. These capabilities are important to complex accelerator systems. TSMC’s published quarterly revenue and guidance provide context for its overall business, but the cited results do not disclose the portion attributable to NVIDIA. A company-wide foundry figure therefore cannot be presented as NVIDIA-derived revenue.
High-bandwidth memory
AI systems pair compute with memory, including high-bandwidth memory (HBM). SK hynix explicitly linked high-value DRAM and HBM sales to strong AI demand and reported HBM4 mass shipments. That is evidence of a relevant product channel, not proof that all of the company’s growth came from AI or that any particular customer accounted for a specified share.

Manufacturing equipment
Chipmakers may invest in manufacturing capacity as demand for advanced logic and memory grows, creating an indirect route from AI infrastructure investment to equipment suppliers. ASML CEO Christophe Fouquet said: “Ongoing AI-related investments and continued progress in AI technologies are driving demand for advanced Logic and Memory chips, further strengthening the semiconductor industry’s growth outlook.” He connected that demand with customer capacity-expansion plans. Equipment sales have a different timing and revenue profile from accelerator sales; they do not necessarily rise one-for-one with NVIDIA’s revenue.

NVIDIA said cloud providers AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure were expected to deploy Vera Rubin-based instances. This is an announcement of expected deployments, not confirmation that the instances were already available, how many would be deployed, or how much revenue NVIDIA or its suppliers would earn from them. Guidance, capacity plans, and deployment expectations describe possible future activity; they are not completed results.

What the supplier figures can—and cannot—tell you
- Directness differs: NVIDIA reports its own data-center revenue. Foundry, memory, and equipment companies report businesses that may serve AI infrastructure as well as other markets.
- Company totals are not customer breakdowns: The cited TSMC, SK hynix, and ASML figures do not quantify revenue specifically attributable to NVIDIA. SK hynix’s AI-demand commentary identifies a business driver, but does not allocate its total revenue to AI.
- Evidence types differ: Completed quarterly or annual results describe past activity. TSMC’s Q2 range was guidance, and NVIDIA’s named cloud deployments were expected future plans.
- Exposure is not a stock forecast: These operating results and management statements do not establish whether any company’s shares are over- or undervalued, or predict future returns.
