Hostinger is a reasonable fit for Node.js if you pick the right product for your app. Choose managed Node.js web-app hosting (Business Web Hosting or Cloud plans) for a guided, GitHub-driven deploy with little server upkeep. Choose a VPS if you need root access and full control of the runtime. Hostinger’s own pages document features, eligibility and prices. They don’t provide independent figures for latency, uptime or support speed, and this review doesn’t invent any. It judges fit, not raw performance.
Two ways to run Node.js on Hostinger
Hostinger splits Node.js hosting into separate models, and picking the wrong one is the biggest mistake you can make.

Managed web-app hosting
Hostinger’s support guide lists Business Web Hosting and the Cloud Startup, Cloud Professional, Cloud Enterprise and Cloud Enterprise Plus plans as eligible for managed Node.js apps. Hostinger positions this as running Node.js apps “without managing the server yourself, so you can focus on building.” That is the company’s own positioning, not an independent conclusion.
VPS and dedicated servers
These support Node.js through manual command-line configuration. You get root access and decide the runtime version, dependencies and deployment workflow. You also take on the administration.

Static front ends on Agency plans
Hostinger also documents an Agency path for exported client-side files that don’t need a persistent server-side process. It isn’t a Node.js runtime option, so skip it if your app has a back end.
Managed vs VPS at a glance
| Decision axis | Managed Business/Cloud web app | VPS |
|---|---|---|
| Server administration | Managed dashboard environment | Root access; command-line setup required |
| Runtime control | Choose from Hostinger’s listed Node.js versions and supported setups | Direct control over versions and dependencies |
| Deployment | GitHub, ZIP upload, templates, IDE connector | You configure it yourself |
| Best fit | Developers who want a guided path and less maintenance | Developers who need server-level control and accept the work |
| Cost | Compare exact term, VAT and renewal | Compare current VPS term and renewal separately |
Nothing in Hostinger’s documentation compares app speed or uptime between the two routes, so choose on control and effort, not assumed performance.

Compatibility: versions, frameworks, limits
Node.js versions
Managed hosting lists Node.js 18.x, 20.x, 22.x and 24.x. Check that your project’s engine requirement matches one of these.
Frameworks
- Front end: React, Vue.js, Angular, Vite, Parcel, Preact, Next.js, Nuxt.js, Astro, Svelte and SvelteKit.
- Back end examples: Next.js, Express.js, NestJS, Nuxt.js, Fastify, Astro and SvelteKit.
- Other: an “Other” app type covers frameworks that aren’t detected, though some settings may need manual entry.
This is documented compatibility, not a promise that every configuration deploys unchanged. Test an unusual build setup, native modules or custom start commands on a small project before moving a production app.

- HP MicroServer Gen10 Plus Tower Server for Business with Microsoft Windows Server 2019 OS!
- Intel Xeon E-2224 Quad-Core 3.4GHz 8MB CPU, Up To 4.6GHz Turbo

- 16TB (4 x 4TB) 7.2K 6Gb/s SATA 3.5" HDDs in RAID
- Hard drives and memory upgrades included separately NOT installed, installation required.
Deployment workflow
- GitHub integration: builds automatically when you push. One hosting plan can connect to only one GitHub account at a time, which matters if you work across personal and client accounts.
- ZIP upload: for projects not in a connected repository.
- Template gallery: starter projects.
- Hostinger Connector: deploys from supported IDEs.
The dashboard shows deployment status and logs, CPU, RAM and I/O graphs, and a restart control for server-side apps. Those are useful for a small team that doesn’t want to SSH in to debug a crash.

| Plan | Displayed monthly rate | Term and upfront total | Renewal | Listed resources |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Unlimited | $3.99/month | 48 months, $191.52 prepaid | $16.99/month | 50 GB NVMe, daily backups |
| Cloud Startup | $7.99/month | 48 months, $383.52 prepaid | $25.99/month | 4 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM, 100 GB NVMe, 10 web apps |
Hostinger says the monthly figure is the total plan price divided by the term, and prices exclude VAT. These are not month-to-month prices. The low rate requires paying for four years upfront, and renewal is substantially higher: roughly 4x for Unlimited and about 3x for Cloud Startup. Budget for the renewal rate if you expect to stay past the term.
Included features: what is claimed
Hostinger advertises managed SSL, CDN, WAF, DDoS protection, backups and managed MySQL for its managed offer. These are listed features. They don’t show how secure, available or fast your app will be, and no independent test of them is cited here. Hostinger also displays an undated “3M+ developers trust Hostinger” banner with no methodology, so treat it as marketing, not evidence.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What is not established
Hostinger’s official material does not give independent current measurements of application latency, uptime, support response times or behaviour under load. This review hasn’t hands-on tested the service, so it makes no claim that Hostinger is fast, reliable or the best. If those matter, run a trial deployment of your own app and monitor it before committing to a long prepaid term.

Verdict: who should choose what
- Choose managed Business or Cloud hosting if your app uses a supported framework and Node.js version, you like push-to-deploy from one GitHub account, and you’d rather not patch a server.
- Choose a VPS if you need a specific runtime, system packages, background workers or custom process control, and you’re comfortable with command-line administration.
- Look elsewhere or test first if you need documented uptime guarantees you can verify, multiple GitHub accounts on one plan, or a version outside 18.x to 24.x.
Before buying, check four things: your framework and version against the supported lists, the plan’s actual resources against your workload, the total prepaid cost including VAT, and the renewal price.
