Hostinger Mail vs Zoho Mail: Which Business Email Service Fits? (2026)

Hostinger offers three standalone business email tiers with 5–50 GB per mailbox; Zoho ranges from a restricted free web-only tier to paid mail and Workplace bundles. Compare regional availability, protocols, storage, and full renewal costs before choosing.
Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Hostinger Mail is the more direct fit if you want standalone email with tiered mailbox storage and published sending limits; Zoho Mail is the stronger fit if you need a free, region-eligible entry point or want email bundled with collaboration apps. The right choice depends on your country, mailbox count, required storage, email-client protocols, and what each plan will cost at renewal. Compare the exact plans available in your market before committing.

Hostinger Mail and Zoho Mail at a glance

What to compare Hostinger Business Email Zoho Mail
Plan structure Three standalone tiers: Business Starter, Standard, and Premium. Email-only plans and Workplace bundles; a free domain-email tier is available only in selected data centers.
Storage 5 GB, 20 GB, or 50 GB per mailbox, depending on tier. Free: 5 GB per user; Mail Lite: 5 GB or 10 GB per user; Mail Premium: 50 GB mail plus 50 GB archival storage per user. Workplace storage depends on edition.
External mail clients Check the current plan details for the client access and protocols you require. Free is web-only and excludes IMAP, POP, and ActiveSync. Paid Mail Lite supports IMAP and POP; verify the selected plan for other protocols.
Sending limits Vendor-published limits include 1,000 daily inbound/outbound messages for Starter and 3,000 for Standard and Premium; limits are generally per mailbox. Comparable daily message limits are not stated in the cited subscription documentation.
Collaboration apps Standalone email plan comparison; assess separately any other tools you need. Relevant Workplace editions bundle apps such as WorkDrive, Writer, Sheet, Show, Cliq, and Meeting. Exact entitlements vary by edition.
Price comparison US page shows introductory and renewal rates for a 48-month term; the full term is paid upfront. Pricing depends on country, edition, number of users, and billing term. Compare current regional pricing directly.

These are vendor-published plan specifications, not independent tests of uptime, deliverability, or ease of use. Hostinger’s current standalone limits are listed on its email limits page; Zoho’s editions and entitlements are described in its pricing comparison and subscription documentation.

How much storage and sending capacity do the plans include?

Hostinger Business Email

Hostinger’s current limits page lists 5 GB per mailbox for Business Starter, 20 GB for Business Standard, and 50 GB for Business Premium. It also lists daily inbound/outbound limits of 1,000, 3,000, and 3,000 messages respectively. The same page lists 100 recipients per message across the tiers, plus message units of 100,000, 200,000, and 300,000. These are plan limits, generally per mailbox—not estimates of typical usage or a promise of deliverability.

Use the storage tiers to estimate whether each employee can keep the mail history they need. If the organization sends close to a published limit, check Hostinger’s current terms and your account’s actual limits before choosing a plan.

Zoho Mail and Workplace

Zoho’s subscription documentation describes the free domain-email tier as 5 GB per user for up to five users. Mail Lite is offered with 5 GB or 10 GB per user, while Mail Premium includes 50 GB of mail storage plus 50 GB of archival storage per user. The additional archive allocation is distinct from the mailbox’s mail storage.

Workplace Standard is described as 30 GB of mail storage per user and 10 GB of WorkDrive team storage; Workplace Professional is described as 100 GB of mail storage per user and 100 GB of WorkDrive team storage. WorkDrive team storage is not the same thing as additional email mailbox storage. Zoho’s full subscription documentation and pricing matrix should be checked for the exact edition you intend to buy.

What will Hostinger cost, including renewal?

At the time the US Hostinger Mail product page was accessed in 2026, it displayed these per-mailbox monthly equivalents for a 48-month term. Hostinger says the term is paid upfront, and that the monthly rate divides the total plan price by the number of months.

Hostinger tier Displayed US 48-month introductory rate per mailbox/month Displayed renewal rate per mailbox/month
Business Starter $0.39 $1.59
Business Standard $0.99 $2.79
Business Premium $1.99 $3.99

These are US page figures, tied to the displayed 48-month offer and subject to change; they are not universal rates. Because payment is upfront, multiply the introductory monthly equivalent by 48 and by the number of mailboxes to estimate the initial term total. Separately calculate renewal at the displayed renewal rate for the number of months in the renewal term shown at checkout. Hostinger’s product page states: “All plans are paid upfront. The monthly rate reflects the total plan price divided by the number of months in your plan.” See the Hostinger Mail product page for current market pricing and terms.

Zoho’s rates are not set out here as a single comparable figure: they vary by region, edition, user count, and billing term. For a fair cost comparison, select the same country, number of mailboxes/users, billing period, and comparable scope (email-only versus Workplace), then compare the full upfront charge and renewal cost rather than monthly equivalents alone.

Does Zoho’s free plan meet your needs?

Zoho’s free business email tier is described as supporting one domain, up to five users, and 5 GB per user. Its availability is restricted to selected data centers, so it is not an option for every region. The free tier is web-only and does not include IMAP, POP, or ActiveSync. Check the Zoho pricing page for market availability and confirm the current offer during signup.

This makes the free tier most relevant to a small team that can use Zoho’s web interface, fits within its mailbox allowance, and can register in a supported data center. If staff need desktop or mobile mail clients through IMAP or POP, the free tier does not meet that requirement; compare paid Mail Lite or another exact paid edition instead.

Which service supports your email clients and other tools?

Mail-client protocols

Choose based on the specific protocol your staff or software requires, not on a general label such as “business email.” Zoho’s documentation says paid Mail Lite supports IMAP and POP, while its free tier excludes IMAP, POP, and ActiveSync. The cited Hostinger plan-limit material does not establish a protocol-by-protocol comparison, so confirm current client support in the exact Hostinger plan details before purchase. Also verify whether a desired protocol is available on the particular Zoho edition; do not assume every paid tier has identical features.

Archiving and advanced administration

Zoho describes Mail Premium as including 50 GB mail storage plus 50 GB archival storage per user, along with eDiscovery and IMAP/POP. If archiving or eDiscovery is a requirement, check the current Premium feature matrix and make sure its inclusion and retention behavior meet your organization’s needs. Do not treat archival capacity as regular mailbox space.

Bundled workplace apps

Zoho Workplace editions bundle email with selected productivity and collaboration applications. The official pricing comparison lists apps such as Calendar, WorkDrive, ToDo, Writer, Sheet, Show, Cliq, Meeting, Vault, and Directory on relevant editions; inclusion depends on the edition. Compare the precise app list, user allowance, and storage with the tools your business would otherwise procure. This bundle comparison is separate from a like-for-like email-only comparison.

How to choose for your business

  1. Check availability first. Confirm that the plan is offered in your country and, for Zoho’s free tier, that your data center is eligible.
  2. Count mailboxes and users. Price the actual number of people who need accounts, distinguishing a per-mailbox plan from any limits or allowances attached to an edition.
  3. Set a storage target. Estimate current mailbox size and expected growth, and distinguish email storage from archive and team-drive storage.
  4. List required access methods. Identify whether users need webmail, IMAP, POP, ActiveSync, or another client setup, then verify the exact tier supports it.
  5. Check volume limits and features. Compare expected sending volume with Hostinger’s published limits, and verify any required archive, eDiscovery, aliases, forwarding, or collaboration features in the current plan matrix.
  6. Compare the complete bill. Use the same region, user count, billing period, and product scope. Include Hostinger’s upfront term charge and renewal price, and compare Zoho’s current edition-specific costs for the same market.

Choose Hostinger when its standalone tiered storage and published limits fit your mailboxes and its full-term plus renewal cost works in your market. Choose Zoho when its eligible free web-only tier is sufficient, when its paid mail features match your client and archive needs, or when Workplace apps replace tools you would otherwise buy. Neither choice can be called universally better without those requirements and a current regional quote.
