Hostinger Connector links supported coding tools and AI assistants to actions in a Hostinger account, including deploying projects and managing domains, DNS, VPS resources, stores, and email campaigns. Hostinger says the connector is free to install, but you need an active plan for the service you want to use. The published examples describe the intended workflow; they are not an independent deployment test.
What Hostinger Connector does
Connector is software that lets an AI assistant or coding tool request selected actions in a Hostinger account. Hostinger’s product page describes an assistant carrying out an action and showing the result for the user to review. The advertised scope extends beyond publishing a website to account and service tasks such as connecting a domain, handling DNS, managing VPS resources and firewall actions, updating store products or inventory, and working with email campaigns and subscriptions. These are vendor-described capabilities, not a guarantee that every action is available in every editor, plan, or account. Hostinger’s Connector page.

The implementation is more specific in the official Cursor plugin. It connects Hostinger MCP servers to Cursor and adds skills, rules, an agent, and a command. The repository lists hosting, WordPress, agency hosting, domains, DNS, billing, email marketing, ecommerce, and VPS areas. For deployments, it lists static, Node.js, PHP, and WordPress assets, alongside workflows for Git auto-deploy, environment variables, databases, troubleshooting, migration, and account audits. Those technical details describe the Cursor plugin, not necessarily every supported Connector client. Hostinger’s Cursor plugin repository.

Is Connector free, and what plan do you need?
Hostinger describes Connector as free to install. Installation does not include hosting or other services: you need the relevant active Hostinger plan for the action you want to perform, such as a hosting service for a website deployment or a VPS plan for server management. The product page does not establish a total cost for those services, so the connector’s free installation should not be read as free hosting or free access to every feature. How to connect it to a coding tool
Hostinger describes the general setup as installation, browser sign-in, and then asking the assistant to perform an action. Its product page lists VS Code, Cursor, Antigravity, Claude Code, Codex, Devin, and other coding tools or agents. Client-specific setup can differ, so the Cursor requirements below should not be applied automatically to other integrations. Hostinger’s Connector page.
Cursor plugin requirements and sign-in
- Install the plugin. Use Hostinger’s official Cursor plugin repository for its documented setup.
- Check Node.js. The repository requires Node.js 20 or newer on PATH because its MCP servers run through
npx. - Authorize the account. On the first account action, the plugin uses OAuth 2.0 browser sign-in. The repository says credentials are stored locally.
- Use an optional token only when appropriate. The repository describes an API token route for CI, scripting, or shared machines, and says a configured token takes precedence over browser credentials.
- Ask for a task and review the result. Hostinger’s described workflow is to prompt the assistant for an action and inspect what it reports or does. Confirm the outcome in the relevant account interface rather than treating a prompt response as proof of a successful change.
For example, Hostinger’s product page suggests prompts such as “Deploy this project and make it live” and “Check if mycafe.com is available and connect it to my site.” These are product examples, not evidence from a user survey or a tested deployment. Hostinger’s Connector page.

Does Connector deploy a real website?
Hostinger shows a demonstration of an assistant deploying a portfolio and connecting a domain, with SSL active, and the Cursor plugin repository lists deployment workflows. That establishes what Hostinger advertises and documents, but not independent reliability, deployment speed, or success rates. The published materials do not provide a reproducible test methodology or measured deployment outcomes. Therefore, the available evidence supports saying Connector is intended to deploy projects; it does not support calling the deployment claim independently verified.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →A meaningful deployment assessment would need to identify the editor and assistant versions, Hostinger plan and region, project stack, exact steps, failures, elapsed time, and post-deployment checks. No such independent deployment result is established here.
What the documented Cursor API cannot access
The Cursor plugin repository identifies several limitations of the API it documents. These limits apply to that documented plugin/API scope; they should not be generalized to every Hostinger interface or product.
- Raw access logs and PHP error logs are not exposed through the API; Hostinger says they remain available in hPanel.
- Backups for shared, cloud, and agency websites are not exposed through the API.
- CPU and memory metrics are unavailable for Shared and Cloud plans.
- DNS snapshots can be listed, read, and restored, but the API cannot trigger a snapshot on demand.
These distinctions matter if an assistant is part of your troubleshooting process: access to some account actions does not mean it can inspect every diagnostic record, backup, or metric. Hostinger’s Cursor plugin repository.

Access controls and security claims
Hostinger says Connector access is scoped, activity can be reviewed, and access can be revoked in account settings. The Cursor repository adds implementation details, including local credential storage and a pre-commit hook intended to block a staged diff containing a literal token. It also notes that the hook fails open if it cannot read the diff. These are vendor-documented controls, not the findings of an independent security audit. Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsBefore using an assistant for consequential account changes, check the requested action and review the resulting state in the account. For a shared machine or automated workflow, account for the repository’s token precedence and local credential behavior rather than assuming all clients authenticate identically.

What the 2026 announcement says about the product direction
In an August 18, 2026 announcement, Hostinger reported that fewer than 4% of projects created on its platform fell outside traditional website categories a year earlier, compared with nearly one in five at the time of the announcement. Those are company-reported figures, not an independent study. The announcement framed its AI direction around assistants handling more of the online project lifecycle, but does not independently validate Connector’s deployment performance.
