To style a header in Hostinger AI Builder’s manual mode, select the header, click Edit header, and open Style. There you can change its background, transparency, navigation font and colors, buttons, and social icons. Use global text styles for navigation text size, and the header’s layout controls for spacing, padding, and arrangement.
Open the header style controls

In the editor, click the header section.

Choose Edit header, then open the Style tab.

Use the dropdown to select Header, Button, or Social icons, depending on what you want to change.

Background and transparency
In the Header style controls, set the background color or enable transparency. A transparent header inherits the background of the section beneath it, so its appearance can depend on the opening section of the page.

Navigation font and colors
Choose the navigation text font and set its color for normal and hover states. If you want larger or smaller navigation text, change the text size in the global text style settings rather than looking for a size control in the header’s Style panel.
Style header buttons and social icons
Buttons
Select Button in the Style dropdown to add and customize buttons shown in the header.
Social icons
Select Social icons to enable the icons, add links to your profiles, and adjust icon size and normal or hover colors.

Use layout settings for spacing, padding, and logo display
Appearance controls and layout controls serve different purposes. Use the header layout settings for sticky behavior, element and link spacing, menu layout, top and bottom padding, and logo display or size. To change which pages appear in the navigation, use the Pages and navigation panel. Hostinger’s header editing guide covers these layout and navigation controls.
Know what is global and what is local
Use the Website styles panel for site-wide design choices such as global colors, text styles (including navigation links), button shape, and animations. Individual elements and sections also have local settings. In practice, use global text styles for navigation text size, the header’s Style panel for header-specific appearance, and layout controls for spacing and padding. For the custom-code method, follow Hostinger’s instructions for changing the header color on specific pages; do not treat it as a setting in the regular Style dropdown. Hostinger says to add the code through More → Integrations → Custom code, then save and publish. The effect is visible in preview mode and on the live site, not in the editor.

Desktop and mobile views can be customized separately. Reordering items on desktop does not automatically change their order on mobile, so inspect the mobile view after adjusting navigation or related layout. Hostinger explains this behavior in its manual-mode template customization guide.
