Hostinger AI Builder: How to Embed Custom Code in Manual Mode

Use an Embed code element for a page-level snippet or Integrations → Custom code for site-wide code, then update and check the published site.

Hostinger AI Builder offers two ways to add custom code in manual mode: use an Embed code element for code that belongs in one page, or use More (⋯) → Integrations → Custom code for code intended to apply site-wide. Follow the integration provider’s instructions about placement, then update your website and check the published result.

Choose the right custom-code method

Method Scope and placement Best for
Embed code element Placed within a particular page, in the page body A widget or snippet that should appear at a specific position on one page
Integrations → Custom code Site-wide field; Hostinger places code according to its tag type Code the provider says to add site-wide, such as verification or head-level code

Use the integration provider’s documentation to decide whether its snippet belongs in the page body or the site-wide head/body fields. Hostinger distinguishes the page-level Embed code element from Integrations → Custom code; its manual-mode overview describes both routes as well. Hostinger AI Builder manual mode overview

Add code to one page

  1. In the editor, open Add elements.
  2. Drag an Embed code element to the position you want on the page.
  3. Select the element and choose Enter code.
  4. Paste the snippet and click Embed code.
  5. Resize or manage the element using its available options, then update the website to publish the change.

For an embed URL, use HTTPS and remove spaces around the URL. If the builder reports that the embed is too large, look for pasted images encoded as data:image…; Hostinger says that format is not supported there, so use an image URL instead. Hostinger’s embed-code instructions

Add code site-wide

  1. In the editor, open More (⋯) → Integrations → Custom code.
  2. Paste the snippet into the custom-code field, following the integration provider’s placement instructions.
  3. Save the changes and update the website.

Hostinger routes code in this field by tag type: <meta>, <link>, and <style> tags go in <head>; <script>, <noscript>, and <iframe> tags go at the end of <body>. If a script specifically needs to load in the head, Hostinger documents adding data-render-head to the <script> tag. Hostinger’s custom-code integration instructions

Publish and confirm the code is working

After saving or embedding the snippet, update the website. Custom-code effects may appear in Preview mode or on the published site without appearing inside the editor, so the editor alone is not a reliable check. Hostinger’s guidance on code and editor visibility

  1. Open Preview or visit the published page and look for the expected widget, styling, or behavior.
  2. For a site-wide integration, inspect the published page’s source and search for a distinctive word from the snippet to check that the code is present.
  3. If the widget is absent despite a correct update, clear the browser cache and check again.

If it still does not appear after clearing the cache, Hostinger recommends contacting the widget provider. Hostinger’s embed troubleshooting guidance

Troubleshoot a site affected by custom code

Hostinger warns that custom code can conflict with the builder’s infrastructure. If the site stops working or behaves incorrectly after adding a snippet, remove code in stages rather than assuming which snippet caused the problem. Hostinger’s manual-mode troubleshooting guidance

  1. Back up your snippets so you can restore them.
  2. Remove all snippets from Integrations → Custom code and temporarily remove code from any Embed code elements.
  3. Update the website and test the live page.
  4. If the site works again, add snippets back one at a time, updating and testing after each addition to isolate the conflict.
