No gameplay cheat codes are documented in the sources reviewed. The “creator codes” players can enter are for visiting other players’ stores, not for unlocking cheats. Hokko Life does offer a main-menu save-slot option according to a player-authored guide, and its abandoned mine can be reached by building up the hill behind town.
Does Hokko Life have cheat codes?
The reviewed sources do not document gameplay cheat codes for Hokko Life. They do describe creator codes, but those serve a different purpose: entering another player’s code lets you visit that player’s store and browse their creations. A creator code is not a cheat code and does not grant gameplay advantages.

Team17’s March 2023 patch notes mention fixes for creator codes not displaying on downloaded creations for Switch, Xbox, and PC. That confirms fixes were made at the time, not that creator-code services or compatibility are guaranteed on every platform today. Team17’s patch notice is the dated reference for those fixes.

How to create or switch between multiple saves
A player-authored Steam Community guide by 666reddog reports that you can create and select saves through the “save slot” option on the main menu. Use that in-game option rather than changing save files manually.

- Open the main menu.
- Choose “save slot.”
- Create a new slot or select an existing one to start or continue that save.
An older Team17 Early Access FAQ said multiple saves were unavailable at that earlier stage. That is historical information, not a current description of the save-slot option reported by the later player guide. The guide is community-authored, so check the menu in your installed version if its labels or behavior differ. Read the Steam Community guide.
Windows save-file location
The same guide lists the Windows save folder as %AppData%/Wonderscope/Hokko Life/SaveData. Back up the folder before handling local save files. The path and file-management advice come from a player guide, not an official support guarantee, and the guide’s comments about Steam Cloud reliability are personal community guidance. For ordinary extra saves, use the in-game slot menu instead of deleting or renaming files.

How to enter creator codes
The player guide says creator codes are entered at the department building to visit other players’ stores. On console, the guide says cross-platform sharing must be enabled to use codes from other platforms.

- If you are on console and using a code from another platform, enable cross-platform sharing in the game’s settings.
Menu wording, platform compatibility, and service availability may vary by version. Team17’s March 2023 notes document creator-code display fixes, but do not establish present-day service status or identical behavior across platforms.

How to reach the abandoned mine
Game Source Entertainment’s Japanese-language guide, published December 29, 2022 for the Japanese Nintendo Switch release, places the mine on the hill behind town. Its route uses stairs to reach the upper level, then passes a torii before climbing to the abandoned mine. The guide describes the following access sequence:
- Build stairs up the hill behind town to reach the upper level.
- Pass the torii and climb to the abandoned mine.
- Pick up the broken pickaxe outside the entrance and take it to Sally for repair.
- Use the repaired pickaxe to break the rock blocking the entrance.

How to mine ore and reach harder rocks
The mine is dark. The publisher guide says to return to Sally to learn the mining-lantern recipe, craft lanterns from materials, and place them inside the mine. It also says harder rocks farther in require a stronger pickaxe, opening access to further ore types. Silver and diamond are specifically named as valuable materials reachable with stronger tools.

- Continue exploring: breaking harder rocks provides access to additional ore types, including silver and diamond according to the publisher guide.
The guide says ores can be mined repeatedly, but does not specify exact ore locations, quantities, respawn timing, or tool recipes. Because it covers a Japanese regional release and dates to 2022, treat its progression details as guidance rather than a guarantee of current recipes on every platform.
