पहले पहचानें: समस्या कहाँ और कैसी दिख रही है?
छोटे दायरे से जाँच शुरू करें। ये तुलना किसी कारण की पुष्टि नहीं करतीं, लेकिन बताती हैं कि समस्या Chrome तक सीमित है या नहीं।
- दायरा: क्या गड़बड़ी केवल एक वेबसाइट पर है, या कई हिंदी वेबसाइटों पर?
- लक्षण: क्या अक्षर सिर्फ़ धुंधले या छोटे हैं, या मात्रा/संयुक्ताक्षर गलत अक्षर से जुड़ा दिखता है?
- सतह: क्या लाइव पेज पर भी अक्षर टूटे हैं, या केवल सेव किए गए स्क्रीनशॉट में?
- तुलना: यदि संभव हो, वही पेज किसी दूसरे ब्राउज़र और डिवाइस पर खोलें।
दूसरे ब्राउज़र में पेज ठीक दिखे तो Chrome की सेटिंग या आपके सिस्टम की font configuration जाँचने का संकेत मिलता है; दूसरे डिवाइस पर ठीक दिखे तो मौजूदा डिवाइस की भूमिका हो सकती है। केवल स्क्रीनशॉट में फर्क हो तो पहले उसी पेज को लाइव खोलकर देखें। ये व्यावहारिक diagnosis संकेत हैं, निश्चित निष्कर्ष नहीं।
Chrome में zoom और font size जाँचें
- Chrome में ऊपर दाईं ओर More (तीन बिंदु) → Settings → Appearance खोलें।
- Page zoom को सामान्य आकार पर रखें और देखें कि पेज का आकार बदलने से समस्या पर क्या असर पड़ता है। Zoom पूरे पेज को बड़ा या छोटा करता है।
- Font size नियंत्रण से पाठ का आकार जाँचें। इससे केवल पाठ का आकार बदलने की कोशिश होती है; यह मात्रा-संयोजन ठीक करने का उपाय नहीं है।
- उसी पेज को फिर देखकर लाइव पेज और स्क्रीनशॉट दोनों की तुलना करें।
Google के Chrome Help के अनुसार कुछ वेबसाइटों पर केवल font-size बदलने से असर नहीं होता। इसलिए आकार बदल जाने को shaping की समस्या ठीक होने का प्रमाण न मानें। Chrome में fonts और page zoom बदलने के Google निर्देश देखें।

Windows पर धुंधला पाठ हो तो अलग उपाय आज़माएँ
यदि समस्या मात्रा टूटने की नहीं, बल्कि पाठ के fuzzy या blurry दिखने की है और आप Windows इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं, तो Google की text-display troubleshooting में ClearType और Windows appearance से जुड़े कदम दिए गए हैं। ये सुझाव Windows पर धुंधले पाठ के लिए हैं; इन्हें macOS या Linux पर लागू न मानें और न ही देवनागरी मात्रा की गड़बड़ी का पक्का इलाज समझें। Google के Chrome text-display troubleshooting निर्देश देखें।
पाठ चौकोर खाने के रूप में दिखना भी धुंधलेपन से अलग संकेत है। Google का यही सहायता पृष्ठ ऐसे text-display लक्षणों को troubleshoot करने के लिए है।

Chrome reset को font की पूरी सफ़ाई न समझें
यदि Chrome की सेटिंग अनजाने में बदली गई हों, तो reset पर विचार किया जा सकता है। लेकिन reset हर सेटिंग नहीं हटाता: Google के अनुसार font और accessibility जैसी कुछ सेटिंग reset के बाद भी बनी रहती हैं। इसलिए reset करने के बाद भी मात्रा की समस्या रहे तो वही कदम बार-बार दोहराने के बजाय ऊपर दिए दायरे और प्लेटफ़ॉर्म की तुलना करें। Chrome settings को default पर reset करने के Google निर्देश देखें।
Linux पर system font configuration भी जाँचें
Linux पर Devanagari संयुक्ताक्षर से जुड़ी एक सीमित community report system-font configuration को संभावित कारक बताती है। 2020 में MX Linux इस्तेमाल करने वाले एक व्यक्ति ने ‘र’ से जुड़े conjunct की गड़बड़ी लिखी; पोस्टर ने पहले Lohit Devanagari को कारण माना, फिर अपना निष्कर्ष बदलकर FreeSans/font substitution से संबंध बताया और Noto Sans Devanagari की ओर substitution का workaround साझा किया। उसी चर्चा में अन्य टिप्पणीकारों ने Lohit Marathi और Blink के बारे में अलग observations दिए।

यदि समस्या सिर्फ़ स्क्रीनशॉट में दिखे
लाइव पेज और स्क्रीनशॉट को अलग-अलग देखकर तय करें कि अक्षर कहाँ बिगड़ते हैं। यदि लाइव पेज सही है, तो स्क्रीनशॉट बनाने के तरीके या capture के समय दिख रहे परिणाम की जाँच करें; उपलब्ध आधिकारिक मार्गदर्शन से screenshot pipeline में किसी खास कारण की पुष्टि नहीं होती। यदि लाइव पेज भी गलत है, तो Chrome, वेबसाइट और सिस्टम के बीच दायरा सीमित करने के लिए दूसरे ब्राउज़र और डिवाइस की तुलना उपयोगी है।
