- Use the README’s build instructions for Standard or Midnight, depending on whether you need C Lua or LuaJIT integration.
If you prefer a package or prebuilt binary, consult the project’s current installation documentation. Package availability can change, so verify the instructions for your operating system rather than assuming a particular package is still offered.
Does Hilbish work on Windows?
Windows support is qualified, not guaranteed. The README says Hilbish may compile on Windows from version 2.0 onward, but warns that functionality may be lacking and that it is not guaranteed to work properly. Successful compilation therefore should not be treated as proof that all interactive features will work.
