The teen is meant to see the same sharing view and be able to pause location sharing, according to the company. These features offer visibility and conversation starters—not proof that a teen is driving safely or that the app prevents crashes.
What HeyPolo says parents can see
HeyPolo combines family location sharing with teen-driving features. Its official site describes real-time location, arrival alerts, and SOS, while its teen-driver page lists speed monitoring, phone-use information, crash detection, a driving safety score, and trip insights.

In practical terms, a parent may be able to see where a teen is, get an alert when they arrive, and review information the app reports about a trip. The company’s materials do not explain how its score is calculated, how accurately it detects events, or how often alerts may be wrong. Treat the score as an app feature, not an independently validated measure of driving safety.
How the consent model is meant to work
HeyPolo says teens can see the same sharing view as parents, choose when and with whom to share, and visibly pause sharing. The company sums up this design with the statement, “You see the same screen your parent sees, always.” That describes HeyPolo’s stated approach; families should confirm how sharing and pausing work in the current app and settings.

Visible sharing can make a difference between an agreed check-in tool and monitoring that feels secretive. A 2012 NHTSA report on teen-driver technology found that some teen participants did not favor vehicle-location tracking notifications, while parents wanted to protect teens without spying on them. That historical research is context for discussing expectations with a teen, not evidence that HeyPolo changes driving behavior. NHTSA
What families should agree on before using it
Before installing a tracking or driving app, discuss the purpose and boundaries together. Be specific about who can see location, when driving information will be checked, what alerts will prompt a call, and how a teen can pause sharing. Agree on how to handle an alert that may be inaccurate or lack context. A speed or phone-use notice should prompt a conversation, not automatically be treated as a complete account of a trip.

- ONE MONITOR, TWO ROOMS — Place one camera by the bed and another in the living room, then switch between Camera 1 and Camera 2 views on the same handheld monitor. This 2-camera elderly monitor setup helps caregivers check the places a loved one uses most without carrying separate screens. Each view is selected individually on the monitor; it does not show both camera feeds at the same time.
- NO WI-FI SETUP, PRIVATE IN-HOME CONNECTION — This CallToU elderly monitor works as a dedicated adult monitor and senior monitor, using a direct 2.4GHz FHSS link instead of Wi-Fi. No router, app, internet, cloud account, or monthly service required. Plug in the camera, power on the monitor, and place the call remote within reach for easy local monitoring at home.
- EXPRESS NEEDS WITHOUT SPEAKING — More than a basic call button, this caregiver call button works as a wireless caregiver pager and call bell for elderly at home. Four icon-marked, tactile buttons identify General Help, Help Turning Over, Bathroom Help, and Water Request; the matching icon appears on the monitor. Every front button and the rear SOS trigger a continuous alert until acknowledged. No fall detection—manual press required.
- SEE, HEAR & RESPOND FROM ANOTHER ROOM — This baby monitor for elderly care uses live 720P video and two-way audio to check whether a loved one is resting comfortably, then speak without entering the room. Infrared night vision and 2×/4× zoom help with quiet nighttime check-ins. Its portable 2.8-inch screen is a room monitor for elderly care, designed to view status—not high-definition detail surveillance.
- MOVE AROUND THE HOME WHILE STAYING CONNECTED — Carry the monitor to another room, downstairs, or while doing everyday chores; camera-to-monitor range reaches up to 660 ft / 200 m in open areas. Indoor range varies with walls, metal, appliances, aquariums, and other wireless devices. Right after unboxing and powering on, test coverage throughout your home. Keep the rear camera antenna unfolded and upright, and keep the call remote within 32 ft / 10 m of the camera.
The official site advertises one family subscription, no per-person fee, and a 30-day money-back guarantee. A TechRadar review dated September 10, 2026, reported a $5.99 monthly plan and an annual price displayed as $1.99 per month; it also reported that app-store purchases could include a 3- or 7-day trial while direct purchases did not. HeyPolo may suit families who want location sharing and driving-related alerts in one app, provided the teen understands and accepts the arrangement. The app’s tracking, score, and crash-detection features do not establish that driving is safe or that crashes will be reduced. If comparing services, check the actual visibility and pause controls, the detail and types of alerts, mixed-platform support, retention of trip and location records, and the full recurring cost and refund terms. HeyPolo’s published claims alone do not provide a same-date comparison with other apps.
