If you’re choosing between Helion and Lunara in Aniimo, pick the combat style you’ll enjoy more: Helion fights up close and builds toward an enhanced skill, while Lunara attacks from range and uses skills to strengthen later basic attacks. The available guides report matching starting stats and a shared element, so they point to play rhythm—not a proven power advantage—as the practical deciding factor.
Helion or Lunara: how their combat styles compare
| Starter | Attack style and range | Attack rhythm | May suit you if… |
|---|---|---|---|
| Helion | Physical basic attacks at close range | Every fourth basic attack grants Solar Halo, which enhances the next skill. | You like staying close to an opponent and building toward a stronger ability. |
| Lunara | Magic basic attacks at range | Skills grant Silver Moon Marks, which empower later basic attacks. | You prefer distance and alternating skills with attacks. |
These mechanics are described in an unofficial Helion and Lunara mechanics guide. A separate post-launch starter comparison says the two share an element and have matching base stats. That comparison is guide-based; the available evidence does not independently verify every listed stat against an official English character record.

Which starter should you choose?
Choose Helion if you want close-range combat
Helion’s described loop rewards repeated basic attacks before using a skill: land four basics to gain Solar Halo, then use the enhanced ability. Pick Helion if you enjoy committing to close positioning and working toward a skill payoff.
Choose Lunara if you want ranged combat
Lunara’s described loop runs the other way: use skills to earn Silver Moon Marks, then make those marks count with later basic attacks. Pick Lunara if you would rather fight from a distance and alternate between skills and attacks.

Don’t choose based on an assumed strength ranking
The guides support a comparison of range and attack rhythm, not a conclusion that either starter is universally stronger. If you are undecided, choose the positioning you prefer—close up for Helion or at range for Lunara—rather than treating the reported matching starting profile as proof that their full performance is identical.
