The Helio G91 is the stronger overall platform on paper and leads in the cited benchmark comparisons. It has newer Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 CPU types and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, while the Helio G35 uses eight Cortex-A53 cores and PowerVR GE8320 graphics. The G35 does list a higher peak CPU clock—2.3 GHz versus 2 GHz for G91—but clock speed alone does not determine performance. These are chip capabilities, not guarantees about how a particular phone will perform.
Helio G91 vs G35 specifications
MediaTek’s specifications show the clearest differences in CPU design, graphics, memory ceiling and display support. Both are 4G platforms with Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 and eMMC 5.1 storage.

Which processor is faster?
The G91 has the more capable-looking CPU design: MediaTek lists Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 core types, whereas the G35 uses Cortex-A53 cores. The G35’s stated maximum clock is higher, but comparing 2.3 GHz with 2 GHz in isolation is misleading because the chips use different core types. The G91 also has the stronger listed graphics hardware, with a Mali-G52 MC2 rated up to 1 GHz compared with the G35’s PowerVR GE8320 up to 680 MHz.

That makes the G91 the more promising choice for graphics-heavy tasks based on platform specifications. It does not establish a specific real-world speed advantage: the phone’s cooling, firmware, memory and other design choices affect results, and the cited evidence does not quantify those effects for these chips.
What the benchmark results show
Third-party comparison pages report higher overall results for the G91, but their numbers differ. The scores below are publisher-reported results, not a single controlled test of both processors in otherwise identical phones.

The G91 leads in the results reported by both publishers where comparable figures are available, but the gap is not consistent across sources. NanoReview reports a G91 AnTuTu 11 score of 354,158, while 91mobiles reports 265,150 for G91. Do not combine these figures into one head-to-head result or treat any score as a universal prediction for a phone.

What the specifications mean when choosing a phone
For games and graphics
The G91’s Mali-G52 MC2 is the stronger listed GPU, so its platform specifications point to better graphics capability than the G35’s PowerVR GE8320. Actual frame rates still depend on the handset and game; the benchmark sources do not establish a guaranteed frame rate for either chip.
For screen smoothness
The G91 platform supports displays up to 90 Hz, while the G35 specification lists resolution but not a 90 Hz capability. A supported maximum does not mean every phone using the chip has a 90 Hz screen: check the handset’s own display specifications.
Rank #4
- PRIVACY DISPLAY: Automatically hide your screen from those beside you. The built-in privacy display can be preset¹ to turn on when receiving notifications, typing passwords, or using specific apps
- TYPE IT IN. TRANSFORM IT FAST: Enhance any shot in seconds on your smartphone by using Photo Assist² with Galaxy AI.³ Add objects, restore details, or apply new styles by simply typing or tapping

- HELP THAT KEEPS UP: Stay in the moment while Now Nudge with Galaxy AI helps you respond faster and stay organized with smart suggestions⁵ that appear exactly when you need them on your phone
For memory and cameras
G91 supports up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X memory. The G35 product brief lists memory configurations up to 6 GB, depending on memory type and configuration. Camera figures are also platform limits, not promises that a phone includes a particular sensor or camera setup; handset manufacturers choose the actual components and implementation.

Verdict
On the published specifications and available benchmark comparisons, the Helio G91 is the stronger overall chip, particularly for graphics and workloads reflected in the cited scores. The G35’s higher stated peak CPU clock does not overturn that comparison, because it uses a different CPU core design. Treat benchmarks as directional evidence and compare the full phone—especially its screen, memory and cooling—rather than choosing by processor name alone.
