This is a revised date. Rockstar had announced May 26, 2026, in May 2025, then moved the launch to November 19. In its announcements, the company said it needed additional time to finish the game to the level of quality and polish it expected. The May date is superseded, not an additional launch window. See Rockstar’s earlier announcement.
What platforms will GTA 6 be on?
Rockstar’s platform and editions support page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Those are the confirmed launch platforms in the official information cited here.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Rockstar has not announced a PC version in these official sources. That means PC availability and timing are unconfirmed; it does not establish that a PC version will never be released. If you are deciding what to play on, rely on a new Rockstar announcement rather than treating an unannounced platform as confirmed.
What editions and purchase formats are confirmed?
Rockstar Support lists Standard and Ultimate editions, plus a separately purchasable Ultimate Edition Upgrade for owners of the Standard Edition. The support page also describes digital and boxed retail options. Edition contents, offers, regional availability, and storefront listings can change, so check Rockstar Support and your console’s store for current terms before buying.

Does the physical version include a disc?
No. Rockstar Support says the physical retail version is a box containing a digital download code, with no disc included. “Physical” therefore describes the boxed purchase, not a disc-based copy.
What launch offers and preload details are listed?
The Rockstar Support page, updated August 18, 2026, describes a Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+ for digital pre-orders and purchases of either edition before November 20, 2026. It also says digital preloading begins at local midnight on November 12, 2026. These are time- and region-sensitive terms; confirm that an offer applies to your account and region on the live support page and platform storefront.

Which GTA 6 trailers and footage are official?
The official game page presents Trailer 1, Trailer 2, and An Extended Look. Rockstar’s Trailer 2 announcement describes the setting as Vice City and beyond, across Leonida, and introduces the central premise at a broad level.
An Extended Look
Rockstar announced An Extended Look for August 27, 2026, and it is now available. The company says the footage was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5. That identifies the platform used to capture this promotional footage; it is not a separate confirmation about other versions’ performance or appearance. See the announcement and the now-playing update.

Where is GTA 6 set, and what is the story about?
Rockstar says the game takes place in the state of Leonida, including modern-day Vice City. Its official summary follows Jason and Lucia after an easy score goes wrong and pulls them into a criminal conspiracy across the state. That is the confirmed premise; further plot details should not be treated as established unless Rockstar announces them.
