The report’s surfaced excerpt attributes the timing to four unnamed industry sources. Official release information reviewed so far names only the console launch: November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
What the Q1 2027 report says
A surfaced excerpt of a GamesBeat report says GTA VI’s PC release is slated for Q1 2027, citing four industry sources familiar with Rockstar’s plans who were not named. That makes Q1 2027 a reported window, not an announced date. The underlying GamesBeat article was not available for review, so its full context and anonymous sourcing could not be independently checked. The surfaced excerpt is secondary evidence, not an official Rockstar or Take-Two announcement.

What Take-Two has officially announced
Take-Two’s June 24, 2026 pre-order announcement lists November 19, 2026 as the launch date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Its May 21, 2026 release listing gives the same date and platforms. Neither official listing confirms a PC version or gives a PC release date.
That distinction matters if you are deciding whether to wait or buy a console: the console date is official, while the PC window remains attributed reporting. The official materials reviewed do not establish PC system requirements, availability, or a timetable for a formal PC announcement.

Wait for PC or play on console?
| Choice | What is established | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Wait for PC | Q1 2027 appears in a report attributed to four unnamed sources; no official PC date was found. | You avoid buying a console for this launch, but the PC timing is uncertain. |
| Play at the announced launch | Take-Two lists PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for November 19, 2026. | You need access to one of those consoles. |
If you are PC-only, treat Q1 2027 as a reason to watch for an official update, not as a date to plan around. The information available here does not support choosing PC components, predicting performance, or assuming that a particular PC configuration will run the game.

A confirmed PC date would need to come from Rockstar or Take-Two. Until an official announcement names a PC platform and timing, the clearest public schedule is the November 19, 2026 console launch; the Q1 2027 PC window remains unconfirmed reporting.
