Explaining the delay, Rockstar said the extra months would allow it to finish the game with the level of polish players expect. That was the company’s stated reason for changing the schedule, not a separate gameplay specification.

How much will GTA 6 cost?
The Rockstar Store listing reviewed displayed €79.99. This is a price shown in euros on that regional storefront, not a confirmed worldwide price or universal suggested retail price. Prices can vary by market and retailer; check your local PlayStation, Xbox or Rockstar Store listing for the current price before buying. Rockstar’s store page lists the editions and purchase options.
What editions are available, and is there a disc?
Rockstar lists Standard and Ultimate Editions. The key distinction in its support information is that Standard includes the game, while Ultimate adds digital content. The support page does not describe the Ultimate extras as separate physical goods.
| Option | What Rockstar says is included | Upgrade or format detail |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | The game | Rockstar says it can be upgraded digitally through the relevant PlayStation or Microsoft store after code redemption. |
| Ultimate Edition | Additional digital items tied to Jason and Lucia’s story, including vehicles, weapons, apparel, and in-game businesses or locations | The listed additions are digital content; the support page does not identify them as physical goods. |
| Physical Standard Edition | A box containing a redeemable download code | No disc is included. Physical packaging does not mean the game is supplied on a disc. |
Rockstar says physical copies are expected to be available for shipping or pickup from November 12, 2026, to support preload. Its support page also says PlayStation codes are region-bound, so buyers should purchase in the country associated with their platform account to avoid activation issues. Xbox codes are stated to be not region-locked. Check the retailer’s listing and the current Rockstar Support edition and platform details before ordering.

Where is the GTA 6 map set?
The game is set in the fictional state of Leonida, with a return to modern-day Vice City. Rockstar’s official store imagery also labels locations including Leonida Keys and Grassrivers.
