How to report suspected cheating in Gray Zone Warfare
- Save a clear clip, if possible. MADFINGER asks players to include conclusive video evidence. Keep the relevant sequence and enough surrounding context to show what happened; avoid edits that could make the incident harder to assess. Preserving context is practical advice, not a stated submission requirement.
- Open the Community Care request form. The live form includes fields for an email address, subject, description, game, issue type, username or nickname, Steam ID, and attachments. The page does not establish that every field is mandatory for a cheating report.
- Explain the incident factually. Include when and where it occurred, the player’s in-game name or Steam ID if known, and what the video shows. Separate what you saw from what you suspect: an unexpected death, accurate aim, or one unclear moment alone may not establish cheating.
- Attach the evidence and submit the request. The official guidance asks for video, but the reviewed materials do not say that reports without a clip are automatically rejected. If you lack video, describe only what you observed.
What MADFINGER has said about its anti-cheat approach
In its anti-cheat statement, MADFINGER says it uses Denuvo technology to make tampering more difficult, but is not using Denuvo’s DRM component or implementing new kernel-level anti-cheat measures. The developer also says it will keep specific anti-cheat details undisclosed to avoid helping cheat developers adapt. These are the developer’s statements, not independent test results.

What enforcement examples do—and do not—show
In a September 18, 2026 Steam announcement, MADFINGER said its investigation into an item-duplication exploit in the Update 0.4 cycle had concluded. It identified close to 40 accounts tied to that specific investigation and said measures would include temporary account suspensions and account wipes. The post thanked players who reported the issue.

That figure concerns one exploit investigation; it is not a count of cheaters generally, a total for all anti-cheat enforcement, or a forecast of what will happen after an individual report.

What to expect after submitting a report
The official materials reviewed do not promise a response time or say whether reporters will receive notice of an outcome. They also do not publish a general penalty ladder for confirmed cheating. MADFINGER’s public statement says some anti-cheat details are withheld, so players should not expect the company to disclose every detection or enforcement detail.
The live form’s published information does not specify accepted video formats or a maximum attachment size. Check the form for current upload constraints, or ask support if your evidence will not attach. Guidance can change: the official Steam announcement placed the game in its Update 0.4 cycle in September 2026 and announced Update 0.5 for October 22, 2026.
