If a card has disappeared from Google Wallet, first search your passes and check the archive. Then use the recovery path for that card type: loyalty and gift cards linked to your Google Account can return after you sign in, while payment cards generally need to be transferred or added again on a new device.
First check whether the card is hidden or archived

Open Google Wallet and tap View more passes.

Search for the business or card name. Archived passes can appear at the bottom of search results.

If you find the card under Archive passes, open it, tap Settings, then choose Unarchive.

Restore a loyalty or gift card after reinstalling Wallet
Install Google Wallet again and sign in with the Google Account you used before. Google says gift cards and loyalty programs remain stored in that account when the app is uninstalled, and account-linked cards should return after you sign in. If the card is still missing, search the archive as described above.
If the card came from Gmail
Check whether the email used to add the card is still in Gmail. Google says deleting that email removes the loyalty card from Wallet. If the email remains, you can use it to add the card again.

Restore a payment card on a new phone
Credit and debit cards do not automatically appear on a new device in the same way account-linked loyalty and gift cards can. Depending on the card and device, use an available device-to-device transfer or cloud restore, or add the payment card again in Wallet or through your card issuer. Some transfer and restore methods work only for eligible items.

Removing a payment card added on one device removes it from that device; it does not necessarily remove it from every device.

Check for reset or security changes that removed the card
Google lists several possible reasons a payment card may be removed from Wallet: changing or disabling the supported screen lock, not opening Wallet for 90 days or more, a factory reset or remote wipe, clearing Wallet or Google Play services data, or removing the Google Account. If one of these applies, add the affected payment card again if needed.
Recover Wallet items after a factory reset
A factory reset deletes Wallet data from the device. During phone setup, try restoring from a Google Account backup or transferring data from another device. Account-connected passes can return after you sign in; items that do not restore this way must be added again manually. Not every card or pass supports every restore method.

Choose the recovery path by card type
| What disappeared | What to try |
|---|---|
| Loyalty or gift card; same Google Account available | Sign in to Wallet with that account, then search the passes and archive. |
| Payment card on a new phone | Use an eligible transfer or restore method, or add the card again in Wallet or through the issuer. |
| Any item after a factory reset | Try cloud or device-to-device restore during setup; manually add items that do not return. |
| Gmail-imported loyalty card | Check the original email. If it remains, use it to add the card again. |
Google does not guarantee that every pass will restore automatically. The result depends on whether the item is connected to your Google Account, is specific to a device, and supports the transfer or restore option available. Availability can also vary by item, device, country or region, and issuer.

If the card still does not appear

Confirm that Wallet is signed in to the Google Account previously associated with the pass.

Search by the business name and check archived passes rather than relying only on the main Wallet screen.

For a payment card, use the issuer’s instructions if Wallet cannot add or verify it.

For a loyalty or gift card that remains missing, check with the business that issued it; Wallet removal does not necessarily remove the underlying card value.
