Google SERP Screenshot API Pricing for 1,000 Keywords: What It Really Costs

For 1,000 keywords checked daily, plan on 30,000 monthly checks—but screenshot calls and SERP data requests may be billed separately. Compare real pricing examples and the questions to ask vendors.

For 1,000 keywords checked once a day in one location, budget for 30,000 checks in a 30-day month. Published examples range from a calculated $18 for queued SERP data to $275 for a 30,000-search SerpApi plan—but neither price establishes the cost of 30,000 screenshots. The only screenshot-specific price in the available vendor documentation is SeerMarTech’s approximate ¥0.032 per screenshot call. First confirm whether your workflow charges separately for retrieving results and rendering screenshots.

Start with the monthly workload

At one daily check per keyword, the basic calculation is:

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

1,000 keywords × 1 check per day × 30 days = 30,000 checks per 30-day month.

This is a request-volume estimate, not necessarily the number of billable units. Providers may count each keyword, each successful search, each screenshot-rendering task, or some other unit. The total can also grow with the scope of monitoring:

  • Checking desktop and mobile separately makes 60,000 checks per month.
  • Checking additional locations, requesting more result pages, or refreshing more frequently adds work.
  • Retries and failed requests may or may not be billed, depending on the vendor’s rules.

Before comparing a monthly allowance with your workload, establish exactly what one counted unit buys.

Prices depend on what the API returns

A SERP data API and a SERP screenshot API are not interchangeable by default. A data API may return parsed ranking fields or HTML; screenshot capture renders a page into an image. Some tracking workflows may need both operations. Do not assume a plan that provides SERP data includes a screenshot, or that a screenshot call also gives you structured ranking data.

These published examples illustrate the difference. The calculations below use the stated prices and the 30,000-check workload; they are estimates, not quotes for a matched set of features.

Option Example cost for 30,000 checks What to know
ScreenshotNeo Free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots A general website screenshot API, not a stated Google SERP data API. Its published features include clean captures and billing only for clean shots; verify whether it fits your SERP workflow and terms. ScreenshotNeo
DataForSEO standard queue $18, calculated at $0.0006 per SERP A September 5, 2026 third-party comparison cites a $50 minimum deposit, an average queue time of five minutes, and a stated 45-minute target. This is queued SERP data pricing, not a screenshot quote. Source and comparison
SerpApi $275 per month for 30,000 searches Its pricing page lists this monthly plan. SerpApi says successful searches count as one credit regardless of result count; failed and cached searches are not counted. Pricing and billing details
SERPupdate $60 for organic results, or $66 with AI Overview, by simple multiplication Its API overview states $0.002 per keyword for organic results and $0.0022 with AI Overview, with up to 100 keywords per request. Billing is per keyword, not per batch. API overview
SeerMarTech screenshot endpoint Approximately ¥960, calculated as 30,000 calls × approximately ¥0.032 per call The vendor describes this as an approximate per-screenshot-call charge. Its returned screenshot URLs are kept for one day; a screenshot can be requested again for seven days after task creation. Endpoint documentation
Finished rank tracker $99 per month for up to 1,500 keywords A third-party comparison checked September 5, 2026 lists this plan. It is a bundled tracker, not a price for raw requests or screenshot output. Source and comparison

The dollar and yuan figures above come from different vendors and definitions. Confirm current prices, taxes, minimum deposits, concurrency, queue speed, data retention, locations, devices, result depth, and failure or retry billing before purchasing.

How to choose the right pricing basis

If you need structured rankings

Compare the billable unit and the fields returned: for example, whether pricing is per keyword, successful search, or batch, and whether the plan includes the locations, devices, and result depth you need. SERPupdate’s stated per-keyword rates and SerpApi’s successful-search credit rules are different billing models; neither should be silently converted into a screenshot price.

If you need visual evidence

Ask whether the vendor renders each search-result page to an image, whether that rendering is a separate task or charge, and how long the image remains available. SeerMarTech documents a screenshot endpoint and an approximate per-call price; that figure is vendor-specific, not a general market rate.

If you need an ongoing monitoring workflow

Compare total operating cost, not just the lowest unit rate. A finished tracker’s listed plan may bundle scheduling, history, dashboards, or alerts, while a raw API may leave those parts to you. Confirm which functions are actually included in the plan you are considering.

Google’s free APIs are not equivalent substitutes

Google says the Search Console API is free subject to usage limits, but that does not make it a free API for taking arbitrary Google search-result screenshots. The Search Researcher Result API can retrieve HTML that would be returned to a browser, but Google restricts access under its researcher program to non-commercial use. Check the applicable terms and eligibility rather than treating either as a drop-in commercial SERP screenshot service. Search Console API usage limits; Search Researcher Result API.

ScreenshotNeo as a website-capture alternative

For developers who need to capture pages they can access, ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server from Yorker Media. Its per-image pricing is not a published Google SERP data rate, so confirm that it meets your intended use and any applicable access or usage terms. It may be useful when the requirement is rendering an accessible page rather than buying parsed Google ranking data.

ScreenshotNeo says its capture can accept cookie or consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; each of those steps can be turned off. It bills only clean shots: bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, with the result identified in response headers. Its API supports PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF output, and its MCP server offers screenshot, page-info, and PDF tools for AI agents. See ScreenshotNeo.

Plans

Plan Monthly allowance Price
Free 1,000 screenshots $0, no card
Starter 3,000 screenshots $5
Growth 15,000 screenshots $15
Pro 60,000 screenshots $39
Scale 250,000 screenshots $99
Business 1,000,000 screenshots $249

Yearly billing gives two months free; every feature is available on every plan. These allowances count screenshots, not Google keyword checks or parsed ranking records. Do not use them as a direct substitute for a SERP API quote.

Questions to settle before committing

  • What is billed? A keyword, successful search, page render, screenshot, batch, or another unit?
  • Is the screenshot included? If the API returns structured data, ask whether visual rendering is separately priced.
  • Does the allowance match your cadence? Include devices, locations, refresh frequency, requested result pages, and expected retries.
  • How quickly are results ready? A low queued price may not fit a workflow that needs immediate results; confirm both typical turnaround and service targets.
  • What happens on errors or cache hits? Confirm billing and retry behavior, not only the advertised price per call.
  • What can you retain and display? Check image retention, data retention, and applicable usage or content permissions.
  • Is a tracker cheaper overall? Compare its scheduling, history, dashboard, and alerts against the engineering and operating effort of assembling those functions yourself.

Google screenshot use has limits

Google’s Search guidelines say: “You don’t need to ask permission to use screenshots of the Google Search page and search results pages in print for educational or instructional purposes”. That is a print-specific permission, not blanket authorization for every commercial use. The guidance also says users are responsible for obtaining third-party approvals for content shown, cautions against implying endorsement, and requests the tagline “Google and the Google logo are trademarks of Google LLC.” beneath images featuring Google Search. Review the guidance for your intended use: Google brand resource center.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a 30,000-search monthly plan guarantee 30,000 screenshots?

No. Search allowances and screenshot-rendering calls may be distinct billable units. Check the vendor’s plan terms and endpoint documentation.

Is ¥0.032 a general price for SERP screenshots?

No. It is SeerMarTech’s approximate price for its documented screenshot endpoint, not a market-wide rate.
