The Google Pixel 9a has no single official AnTuTu, Geekbench or PCMark score. Published results come from different reviewers, benchmark versions and types of test run, so the accurate answer is a range, with each figure tied to its source. In the 2025 reviews and public pages covered below, AnTuTu v10 totals run from 844,082 to 997,063, Geekbench 6 single-core scores sit near 1,700 and multi-core scores between about 4,400 and 4,500, and PCMark Work results fall between 11,398 and 12,890.

Benchmark and version Reported result Source, date and context
AnTuTu v10, total 844,082 Notebookcheck review measurement, published 2025
AnTuTu v10 997,063 Gadgets 360 review measurement; publication date not stated in the accessed page
Geekbench 6.7, single-core / multi-core 1,702 / 4,453 Notebookcheck review measurement, published 2025
Geekbench 6, single-core / multi-core 1,707 / 4,512 Tom’s Guide review averages, dated April 10, 2025
Geekbench 6.7.1, single-core / multi-core 1,706 / 4,342 One individual Geekbench Browser result uploaded June 27, 2026, on Android 17 with Tensor G4; not a model-wide average
PCMark Work 3.x 11,398 Notebookcheck review measurement, published 2025
PCMark for Android Work 3.0 12,890 UL Benchmarks device page; median of submitted results, page accessed October 7, 2026; not a single controlled run
PCMark Work 3.0 12,713 Gadgets 360 review measurement; publication date not stated in the accessed page

These are published measurements, not guarantees for every unit. A figure from one review unit, a figure from one uploaded run and a figure that is a median of many submissions answer different questions, and they should never be averaged into a single “official” number.

How to read each benchmark

AnTuTu v10

AnTuTu returns a composite total, so the total mixes several subtests rather than isolating the processor. The two AnTuTu v10 totals differ by roughly 18 percent (997,063 against 844,082), even though both use the same version. That gap is the clearest example of why a score must be quoted with its reviewer. Notebookcheck and Gadgets 360 tested different units under their own conditions, and neither result tells you what another unit will return.

Geekbench 6

Geekbench reports single-core and multi-core scores separately. Single-core results show how quickly one thread finishes work, and multi-core results show how the chip performs when several cores run together. Compare the two columns separately. The Geekbench 6.7 and 6.7.1 figures are close to the Geekbench 6 averages from Tom’s Guide, but a minor version change is still a variable, so keep versions aligned when you compare phones. The 6.7.1 row comes from one individual result uploaded to Geekbench Browser, which makes it useful as a data point but not as a model profile.

PCMark Work

PCMark Work measures everyday productivity tasks, such as document, web and spreadsheet workloads, rather than gaming. The 12,890 figure is UL’s median of submitted results, a dynamic number that UL says includes results from less-than-ideal conditions and updates daily. The 11,398 and 12,713 figures are single review measurements. The lower Notebookcheck result is also the one that places the Pixel 9a below the Pixel 9 in PCMark testing.

  • Google Pixel 10a is a durable, everyday phone with more[1]; snap brilliant photography on a simple, powerful camera, get 30+ hours out of a full charge[2], and do more with helpful AI like Gemini[3]
  • Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan; it works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers
  • Pixel 10a is sleek and durable, with a super smooth finish, scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 7i display, and IP68 water and dust protection[4]
  • The Actua display with 3,000-nit peak brightness shows up clear as day, even in direct sunlight[5]

What the scores suggest about the Tensor G4

The benchmark figures point to a phone whose CPU performance is close to its predecessors rather than a large step forward. Tom’s Guide reports that its Pixel 9a Geekbench result is similar to the Pixel 9 and only a modest improvement over the Pixel 8a. Its iPhone 16e comparison posts substantially higher Geekbench numbers, so the Pixel 9a should be judged against a specific rival rather than against an absolute standard. Notebookcheck likewise places the Pixel 9a’s Geekbench result close to the Pixel 8a.

Synthetic scores measure defined workloads. They indicate relative processor capability, but they do not establish how quickly a particular app opens or how smooth the interface feels for an individual user. Tom’s Guide describes everyday use on the Pixel 9a as smooth in its own testing, which is a subjective observation that a score cannot replace.

Why the same phone produces different numbers

Several variables change a result, and any of them can explain a gap between two published figures:

  • Device state, including whether the phone was freshly restarted or had recently run other tasks.
  • Software build and benchmark version, such as Geekbench 6 versus 6.7.1, or AnTuTu v10 with different system updates.
  • Background activity, which can consume processor time during a run.
  • Temperature at the start of the test and how long the device was under load.
  • Whether the figure is one review unit, one uploaded run, or an aggregate median of many submissions.

Sustained load and heat

A short CPU test is not the same as sustained gaming or long workloads. Notebookcheck reports heat-related slowdown under sustained 3DMark load on its test unit. Tom’s Guide reports different behavior in its own tests. These are observations from different methods, not a settled thermal verdict for every Pixel 9a. If you care about long gaming sessions, look for sustained-load results from the same reviewer across several runs rather than relying on a single burst score.

How to compare the Pixel 9a with another phone

  1. Match the benchmark family and version. Compare AnTuTu v10 with AnTuTu v10, and Geekbench 6.7 with Geekbench 6.7 or a closely equivalent release.
  2. Match the score type. Compare Geekbench single-core with single-core and multi-core with multi-core.
  3. Match the sample method. Compare a review-unit result with another review-unit result, and treat a submission median as a separate category.
  4. Separate short-burst CPU results from sustained GPU and heat behavior, and do not use one to predict the other.
  5. Check practical performance tests from the same reviewer before drawing a conclusion about daily use.

Benchmark scores alone do not establish current pricing or value. Check pricing and availability separately from the benchmark data.

Official specifications and Google’s claim

Google identifies the Pixel 9a as powered by Tensor G4, and UL Benchmarks lists the device with 8 GB of memory. Google’s launch copy, dated March 19, 2025, describes the phone this way: “Powered by our fastest, most efficient chip yet, Pixel 9a comes with everything you expect from our Pixel 9 series — complete with a sleek redesign, upgraded main camera and Gemini built in.” That is marketing language rather than an independent performance assessment, and it does not supply any benchmark number.

For the processor itself, the independent results above are the best guide. For the phone’s official description, Google’s Pixel 9a product materials are the primary source.
