Those are results from that review’s test unit, not guaranteed scores for every Pixel 9. Later Geekbench Browser submissions show different results and use explicitly identified benchmark versions.
Google Pixel 9 benchmark scores at a glance
| Benchmark | Reported Pixel 9 result | Source and context |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu v10 | 916,098 | Gadgets 360 review test unit, 2024 |
| PCMark Work 3.0 | 12,363 | Gadgets 360 review test unit, 2024 |
| Geekbench single-core | 1,657 | Gadgets 360 review test unit, 2024; the cited result is not labeled with a Geekbench version |
| Geekbench multi-core | 3,630 | Gadgets 360 review test unit, 2024; the cited result is not labeled with a Geekbench version |
Gadgets 360 reported that it had to sideload most benchmark apps because Google did not allow their installation through the expected route, and said this could account for lower-than-expected scores. Treat the figures as that review’s reported test results, not a standardized or independently reproduced baseline. Gadgets 360’s Pixel 9 review also describes ordinary-use performance as adequate and notes that extended gaming could make the phone uncomfortably hot; that observation is separate from its synthetic benchmark scores.

Later Geekbench results use different versions
Geekbench Browser contains two later Pixel 9 submissions recorded on Android 17. They are individual uploaded runs, not an average or a controlled comparison across a representative group of phones.
| Geekbench version | Single-core | Multi-core | Record context |
|---|---|---|---|
| Geekbench 6.7.1 | 1,722 | 4,427 | One submitted Pixel 9 result, uploaded July 18, 2026 |
| Geekbench 7.0.0 | 1,491 | 4,173 | One submitted Pixel 9 result, uploaded August 9, 2026 |
These records come from the Geekbench 6.7.1 Browser result and the Geekbench 7.0.0 Browser result. Geekbench 6 and Geekbench 7 are separate benchmark versions: do not compare their scores as though they came from the same scale, or combine them into a single Pixel 9 range.

How Pixel 9 performance compares with its generation
In its August 21, 2024 comparison, Android Authority found the Pixel 9 behind the cited iPhone 15 and Galaxy S24 in Geekbench 6, and reported that the Pixel 9 was 43% behind the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Galaxy S24 in PCMark. It also described the Pixel 9’s graphics performance as substantially behind the fastest contemporary phones. These are Android Authority’s findings from its own test context, not a universal ranking of all devices or test runs. Android Authority’s Pixel 9 benchmark comparison attributes the results to the tested phones and suite.
Against the Pixel 8, Android Authority reported Pixel 9 gains of 11.5% in Geekbench 6 single-core, 6.1% in Geekbench 6 multi-core, and an average 7.4% in PCMark. Its 3DMark Wild Life and Wild Life Extreme gains averaged 4.5%. These percentages describe that publication’s comparisons; they are not promises of the same improvement in every device or workload.

- Gemini AI Integration: Built-in Gemini AI assistant supercharges your productivity and creativity, helping you accomplish tasks faster, generate content, and unlock new possibilities right from your smartphone without needing additional apps or subscriptions
What the scores do—and do not—tell you
- AnTuTu v10 gives a broad composite score. It is not interchangeable with a CPU-only result or a graphics-only test.
- Geekbench reports separate single-core and multi-core CPU results. Keep the version attached to any score you cite.
- PCMark Work 3.0 measures a different mix of productivity tasks, so its number should not be ranked directly against AnTuTu or Geekbench.
- 3DMark graphics results address graphics workloads; Android Authority’s cited comparison reports percentage gains, but not Pixel 9 raw scores.
Android Authority’s interpretation is that Tensor G4 remains capable for day-to-day apps even though competing flagship chips lead in peak benchmark performance. A synthetic score alone cannot establish how fast a particular app will feel, whether a game will remain stable over a long session, or how hot the phone will get.
Why Pixel 9 benchmark scores can differ
Benchmark results depend on the app version and workload as well as the phone’s software, temperature, background activity, power mode, and test procedure. Pixel 9 reviews also encountered benchmark-app compatibility complications. GSMArena documented early Play Store incompatibility and sideloaded runs it considered too low to report, then retested another Pixel 9 unit and added scores. That history makes it especially important to identify the source and testing context rather than treating one number as definitive. GSMArena’s Pixel 9 testing notes describe that retest history.

For a useful head-to-head comparison, prefer results from the same reviewer using the same benchmark version, workload, and test conditions. Compare CPU with CPU, productivity with productivity, and graphics with graphics; results from different labs are not perfectly controlled against one another.
