How the displays differ
The Pixel 11’s 6.3-inch OLED is smaller than the moto g max’s 6.72-inch LCD. Motorola lists 120 Hz, while Google gives a 60–120 Hz refresh-rate range. The resolution figures are close in pixel count—1080 × 2424 for Pixel and 2400 × 1080 for Motorola—but the different panel technologies and sizes matter more to the basic comparison than resolution alone. These specifications do not establish which screen looks better in person.

Battery and charging: capacity is not runtime
Motorola lists a 7000 mAh battery, compared with Google’s 4985 mAh typical capacity. That makes the Motorola’s stated capacity larger, but capacity alone does not show which phone lasts longer: screen, processor, software, signal strength, and usage all affect runtime.

Google says Pixel 11 can reach about 55% charge in 30 minutes when using a 30W USB-C PPS charger or higher; the charger is sold separately. Motorola lists 30W TurboPower charging. The figures use different manufacturer descriptions and should not be treated as a controlled charging-speed comparison.
Camera specifications and what remains unknown
Google lists three rear cameras on Pixel 11: a 48 MP wide camera with Macro Focus, a 13 MP ultrawide, and a 10.8 MP 5× telephoto. The available Motorola specification excerpt does not provide enough detail for a comparable sensor-by-sensor account. The listed specifications therefore do not support a complete camera verdict or a claim that one takes better photos.

Software support
Google says its latest phones receive seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates. Motorola’s U.S. moto g max specification page lists two OS upgrades and three years of security maintenance releases. Policies can depend on the regional SKU; verify the support terms for the exact model offered where you live. Google’s announcement of the Pixel 11 is dated August 12, 2026, and says it became available to buy on August 25, 2026: Google’s Pixel 11 announcement.

Google announced a U.S. starting price of $899 for the base Pixel 11. The current Google Store specifications page displays “From $549” after eligible trade-in alongside a crossed-out $899. The $549 figure is a conditional offer, not an unconditional price for every buyer; offers and eligibility can change.

A matching current U.S. price for the exact moto g max 5G model is not established, so subtracting a Motorola price from the Pixel price would produce an unsupported comparison. The title’s “Moto g max 5G” wording also needs care: Motorola’s retrieved U.S. specifications call the phone “moto g max,” and Motorola notes that features vary by version or country. Check the model name, regional SKU, storage, and live retailer price before comparing totals. Google’s announcement gives the $899 launch price and availability details at Google’s Pixel 11 availability announcement; Motorola’s regional qualification appears in its U.S. specifications and terms and feature information.

Which one fits your priorities?
- Consider Pixel 11 if you value an OLED display, more listed RAM and storage choices, a specified triple-camera system, and Google’s stated seven-year update commitment.
- Consider moto g max if you prefer a larger screen and prioritize the higher listed battery capacity. The capacity does not by itself guarantee longer runtime.
- Wait to compare prices until you have the exact Motorola regional model and current prices for both phones in the same country, with trade-in conditions and storage matched.
