On paper, the POVA 8 Pro 5G wins on screen size, refresh rate, battery capacity and wired charging speed. The Pixel 10 wins on a dedicated 5x telephoto lens, wireless charging, a stated seven-year update commitment and a premium launch price. All figures below come from the manufacturers’ own listings, not independent tests, so they show what each phone is built to offer, not how it performs day to day.
The price gap depends on your country, storage tier and seller. TECNO’s official specification page lists no price, so a single worldwide difference would be made up.

Display and design
The POVA 8 Pro 5G has the larger panel (6.78 inches against 6.3) and a listed 144 Hz refresh rate. If you want a big screen for video and games, that is the clear spec advantage. The Pixel 10 is the more compact phone.

The brightness figures (3000 nits for Pixel, 4500 nits for POVA) are each company’s peak claims. Companies measure peak brightness under different conditions, so don’t read the gap as a lab result. Which screen looks better is not something the specs can settle.

Processor and performance
The Pixel 10 uses Google’s Tensor G5. The POVA uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G. Clock speeds and chip names don’t show which phone is faster in practice, and no independent benchmark data with a stated method was available for this comparison. Look for reviews that test the exact variants you’re considering.
Cameras
The clearest hardware difference is the telephoto lens. The Pixel 10 has a dedicated 10.8 MP 5x telephoto alongside its 48 MP main and 13 MP ultrawide cameras. The POVA 8 Pro 5G lists a 50 MP OIS main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide, with no telephoto lens listed.

If distant subjects matter to you, the Pixel’s specification is better suited. Beyond that, megapixel counts say little about image quality, including the 13 MP versus 10.5 MP selfie cameras. Judge photo quality from independent sample images.
Battery and charging
The POVA lists 6500 mAh and 45 W wired charging, against the Pixel’s 4970 mAh typical capacity and a rating of up to 55% in about 30 minutes on a 30 W or higher USB-C PPS charger, which is sold separately. On paper the POVA has the larger battery and the faster wired rating.
Rank #3
- Google Pixel 10a is a durable, everyday phone with more[1]; snap brilliant photography on a simple, powerful camera, get 30+ hours out of a full charge[2], and do more with helpful AI like Gemini[3]
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan; it works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers

- Plan, create, and get more done with help from Gemini, your built-in AI assistant[3]; have it screen spam calls while you focus[6]; chat with Gemini to brainstorm your meal plan[7], or bring your ideas to life with Nano Banana[8]
The Pixel 10 adds Qi2-certified wireless charging up to 15 W, which the TECNO page does not list. Capacity doesn’t equal endurance, though. Chip efficiency, screen settings and software all affect real-world battery life, and that was not tested here.
Memory and storage
The Pixel 10 comes with 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage in Google’s US and rest-of-world specifications. The POVA 8 Pro 5G is listed as 8 GB/256 GB, 12 GB/256 GB and 12 GB/512 GB. TECNO’s product page also advertises extended RAM, which borrows storage space. It is not physical RAM, so compare only the physical figures. Which configurations are sold varies by market.

Software and update support
Google states: “And your phone will continue to feel fresh and secure with seven years of Pixel Drops as well as OS and security updates.” That is a firm commitment for the Pixel 10 only.

Price difference
Google announced the Pixel 10 in August 2025 from $799 in the US, and listed the 256 GB model at ₹79,999 in India at launch. Those are launch prices, not current street prices or stock guarantees.
TECNO’s official specification page gives no POVA 8 Pro 5G price. One third-party comparison page on 91mobiles showed roughly ₹69,850 for the Pixel 10 and ₹49,999 for the POVA 8 Pro in India. That would be about ₹19,850, but this is an unverified snapshot. Its storage match, seller and current validity are not confirmed. Treat it as an indication that the POVA sits well below the Pixel, not as a figure to rely on.
Quick Recap
How to compare prices fairly
- Use the same currency and country, and the same storage tier where possible (for example, 256 GB against 256 GB).
- Match condition: new, unlocked and with local warranty.
- Check the actual checkout price after bank offers or exchange credits, which are temporary.
- Confirm the regional variant’s 5G bands and SIM setup with the seller.
Which should you choose?
- Choose the POVA 8 Pro 5G if you want the biggest screen, a 144 Hz refresh rate, the largest battery and a lower price, and you can accept an unstated update policy.
- Choose the Pixel 10 if you want a telephoto camera, Qi2 wireless charging, a compact body and a seven-year update promise, and the higher price is acceptable in your market.
