Specifications and prices above are manufacturer-published U.S. figures, not independent test results. The manufacturers’ brightness conditions are not matched, and battery figures use different measures, so neither comparison establishes a real-world winner.

What is the price difference?
Google lists the Pixel 10 from $799, while Apple lists the unlocked iPhone 17e at $699 for 256GB and $899 for 512GB. That makes the Pixel’s entry price $100 higher, but the entry configurations are not equivalent: the Pixel starts with 128GB, while the iPhone starts with 256GB. Apple’s displayed carrier offers have separate eligibility and terms.

Which phone has more useful camera zoom?
The Pixel 10 has more varied rear-camera hardware: a wide camera, a dedicated ultrawide and a 5x optical telephoto camera. Google also lists Super Zoom up to 20x. The iPhone 17e has a single 48MP rear camera system that can provide a 2x telephoto view, with digital zoom up to 10x.
If you often frame expansive landscapes or architecture, the Pixel’s dedicated ultrawide gives you a separate camera for that view. For distant subjects, its 5x optical telephoto is a hardware distinction from the iPhone’s 2x view. These specifications describe camera options, not which phone produces better-looking photos; that requires matched camera testing.

How do their displays compare?
The Pixel 10’s listed display is 6.3 inches with a variable 60–120Hz refresh rate. The iPhone 17e has a 6.1-inch OLED display, and Apple’s cited specifications do not list a high-refresh rate. A higher refresh-rate option can make compatible scrolling and motion appear smoother, but the specification alone does not settle subjective display quality.

Google states peak brightness up to 3,000 nits for the Pixel 10. Apple lists 800 nits typical maximum and 1,200 nits HDR peak for the iPhone 17e. Those figures are not directly comparable measurements because the manufacturers’ conditions and methods are not matched.

Battery, charging and performance: what the figures do and don’t say
The Pixel 10’s battery is listed at a typical 4,970mAh, with Google claiming 24+ hours of battery life and up to 100 hours when Extreme Battery Saver is used. Apple claims up to 26 hours of video playback or up to 21 hours of streamed video playback for the iPhone 17e. These different definitions do not show which phone lasts longer in ordinary use.
For the stated wired fast-charge rates, Google specifies a 30W USB-C PPS charger or higher for the Pixel 10; it is sold separately. Apple specifies a 20W or higher adapter for the iPhone 17e’s stated rate. Both list Qi2 wireless charging up to 15W, and the iPhone also supports MagSafe.

The Pixel uses Google’s Tensor G5 chip; the iPhone uses Apple’s A19. Chip names alone do not establish a speed leader. No matched benchmark or controlled everyday-performance comparison is available in the cited specifications, so choose between them based on platform and feature preferences rather than an assumed performance ranking.
Software support, water resistance and connectivity
Google says the Pixel 10 receives “7 years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates.” Apple’s cited iPhone 17e technical specifications list iOS and Apple Intelligence but do not state a comparable support-duration promise. That does not establish that Apple’s support will be shorter; the two cited pages simply provide different levels of detail.

Both phones list IP68 water resistance. Apple specifies a rating of up to 6 meters for up to 30 minutes under IEC 60529. A rating is not a recommendation to submerge either phone, and water resistance can be affected by wear or damage.
For listed wireless standards, the Pixel 10 has Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6; the iPhone 17e has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. Both support dual eSIM, with Apple specifying that detail for the U.S. model. Confirm carrier support and the regional model’s details where you plan to use the phone.
Which one should you choose?
Choose the Pixel 10 if you value
- A dedicated ultrawide and 5x optical telephoto camera.
- A display with a listed refresh rate up to 120Hz.
- Android and Google’s stated seven-year OS, security and Pixel Drop update commitment.
Choose the iPhone 17e if you value
- iOS and Apple’s platform and services.
- A lower listed U.S. unlocked entry price, with 256GB included.
- Apple’s MagSafe accessory ecosystem or the A19 platform.
Before deciding, compare the actual prices for the storage capacities you want. The $100 entry-price gap is not a like-for-like storage comparison, and the cited Pixel listing does not establish the 256GB model’s price. If processor speed, photo quality or actual battery endurance is decisive, look for independent tests that compare both phones under the same conditions.
