The Pixel 10 has the smaller screen at 6.3 inches, compared with 6.7 inches on the A57. It is also shorter and narrower, but its listed weight is 204 g—25 g more than the A57’s 179 g. The Samsung is listed as thinner, at 6.9 mm versus 8.6 mm.

Choose by how you hold and use a phone, not display size alone: the Pixel’s smaller footprint may suit someone seeking a more compact screen, while the A57 gives more display area. The published dimensions do not establish how either phone feels in the hand.
Camera hardware: telephoto or macro?
The clearest hardware distinction is the third rear camera. Google lists a 10.8MP 5x telephoto on the Pixel 10, alongside wide and ultrawide cameras. Samsung lists a 5MP macro camera on the A57, alongside its wide and ultrawide cameras. That makes the Pixel the more clearly specified choice if a dedicated telephoto lens matters, while Samsung’s listed setup includes a macro lens.

These specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos. Megapixel counts and camera types alone cannot settle image quality, and no comparable independent camera test is cited here.
Battery capacity, charging and real-world endurance
Both phones are listed with typical battery capacities close to 5,000mAh: 4,970mAh for the Pixel 10 and 5,000mAh for the A57. Their manufacturer-stated charging figures use different wording and conditions: Google specifies about 30 minutes to 55% with a separately sold 30W USB-C PPS charger or higher, while Samsung specifies around 30 minutes to 60% with Super Fast Charging 2.0. Those figures are not a like-for-like charging test.

The Pixel’s specifications explicitly include Qi2 wireless charging up to 15W. The cited Samsung US announcement does not state wireless charging. Battery capacity and manufacturer charging claims do not show which phone lasts longer in day-to-day use; no comparable endurance test is established here.
Software and support commitment
Samsung says the Galaxy A57 5G will receive up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates. The cited Pixel 10 specifications describe Android, Pixel software and Gemini features, but do not state a support duration. That leaves no verified basis here for a direct support-duration comparison.

US price difference: compare like with like
Samsung announced a $549.99 US starting price for the Galaxy A57 5G, with US availability beginning April 9, 2026. Google’s US product page displayed the Pixel 10 for $649, reduced from $799, and said the offer would end October 11, 2026. These are different kinds of figures—a launch starting price and a time-limited store promotion—so they do not establish a permanent $99.01 price gap.

- Compare the same storage tier: both models are listed in 128GB and 256GB configurations.
- Check the current unlocked price at the retailer you plan to use, rather than treating a past promotion as the regular price.
- Separate trade-in credits, new-line offers and eligible-plan requirements from the phone’s retail price.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Pixel 10 if
- You prefer a 6.3-inch display and the Pixel’s shorter, narrower body.
- A dedicated 5x telephoto camera is more useful to you than a macro camera.
- Qi2 wireless charging is a priority.
Choose the Galaxy A57 5G if
- You want the larger 6.7-inch display.
- You prioritize a lower announced US starting price, after checking today’s price for the same storage and purchase conditions.
- A lighter listed weight or Samsung’s explicit software-support commitment matters to you.
