If GoFullPage captures a sticky header in the wrong place, will not scroll, or produces an incomplete image, first prepare the page: close banners and pop-ups, scroll through the page yourself so its content loads, then try a fresh capture. If that does not help, the page may use custom scrolling that the extension cannot handle reliably. GoFullPage advertises support for sticky and fixed elements, but its FAQ acknowledges that some pages do not capture properly.
Prepare the page before capturing
- Close information bars, cookie notices, pop-ups, and other overlays that could interfere with the page.
- Scroll through the page yourself from top to bottom. This can load images or other content that appears only as you scroll.
- Return to the top and start a fresh GoFullPage capture.
This is GoFullPage’s own recommended preparation. It can help when the issue is unloaded content or an overlay, but it cannot correct every site-specific scrolling behavior. See the GoFullPage FAQ.
Why a sticky header may still appear incorrectly
GoFullPage’s Chrome Web Store listing advertises handling sticky and fixed elements, and its FAQ says it handles tricky page styles. Those are capabilities, not a guarantee that every site’s header will be hidden or positioned correctly. A website may implement its header or scrolling in a way that conflicts with the extension’s capture process. The FAQ explicitly notes that some pages do not capture properly. Check whether the page uses custom scrolling or is a PDF
Custom scrolling interfaces
Some websites control scrolling through custom JavaScript rather than ordinary page scrolling. GoFullPage names Adobe Spark pages as an example where this can prevent the extension from scrolling or capturing correctly. If the site offers an ordinary page view, trying that view is a reasonable workaround, but it is not a guaranteed fix.

PDFs opened in the browser viewer
GoFullPage says its normal scrolling capture cannot access a PDF opened in the browser’s built-in viewer. If available, open the PDF in a regular web page or use a PDF-specific export or capture method instead; the extension’s standard full-page workflow is not intended for that viewer.
Handle blank, split, or incomplete output on very long pages
Very large pages can exceed practical output limits, particularly on high pixel-density displays. GoFullPage’s FAQ says such captures may be split into multiple images and that an exceptionally large number of output images can prevent completion. If the extension offers split-image output, use it rather than requiring one exceptionally tall image. If the capture remains incomplete, try reducing the amount of page content or capturing smaller sections, if the site and extension allow it. The FAQ does not give a numeric page-size threshold or a success rate.

When to contact GoFullPage support
If the same page still fails after preparation, contact support from within the extension, as GoFullPage directs in its FAQ. To make the report actionable, include the page address, browser and extension versions, and a concise description of what happened—for example, whether the capture would not scroll, repeated the header, went blank, or stopped partway through. These are useful diagnostic details, not a stated official submission checklist.
A page-specific failure does not establish that a particular CSS change, browser flag, or site modification will fix it. Without knowing how the affected page implements scrolling and its header, avoid applying speculative site-specific changes.

Availability guidance can change. On August 11, 2026, GoFullPage’s developer reported a temporary Chrome Web Store removal, said the developer believed it was in error, and described temporary access guidance. The developer’s statement was its position, not an independently established finding. GoFullPage’s homepage later announced an official Firefox add-on on September 7, 2026. Why didn’t GoFullPage scroll during capture?
The page may use custom JavaScript to manage scrolling, which GoFullPage says can prevent it from scrolling or capturing correctly. Browser-viewer PDFs are another documented limitation.
