God’s Eye is a locally run website that places public-data feeds on a 3D globe. The walkthrough by Co11ateral describes a Gh0st-mods fork that can display some layers without paid API access; it is not a satellite-surveillance system or a source of unrestricted intelligence.
What God’s Eye shows
Co11ateral’s September 23, 2026 walkthrough presents God’s Eye as a 3D Earth interface for viewing public feeds. The examples include aircraft, vessels, satellites, earthquakes, public traffic cameras, dams, and data centers. Selected aircraft and vessel objects can show details such as identity, speed, and heading, and the aircraft view includes alternate visual presets.

The walkthrough says the Gh0st-mods fork works for free out of the box and that many layers do not need API keys. It contrasts this with the original God’s Eye project, which it describes as using paid APIs for a richer experience. This is the author’s account, not a current API-price audit: the article does not identify every provider, specify which layers need keys, or list prices. It says API keys can be added to a .env file for a richer experience.

The walkthrough does not establish that all layers work without keys, nor does it compare the projects’ accuracy, reliability, security, or completeness.
Run the featured fork locally
Co11ateral’s setup instructions use Node.js, npm, Git, and a terminal on a Debian-based Linux system. They have not been independently tested for compatibility with current Node.js or npm versions, so treat them as the author’s directions rather than a verified installation procedure.

Update package lists and install Node.js and npm:

If a command fails or the local page does not load, the walkthrough does not provide a troubleshooting procedure. It also does not establish current repository maintenance status or security posture; check the project’s current instructions and dependencies before running it.

What the walkthrough does not establish
The feature tour does not provide measured accuracy, geographic coverage, refresh intervals, latency, or installation success rates. It also does not document feed terms or license conditions. Treat the globe as a convenient way to explore the public data presented by its layers—not as a complete, real-time picture of world events.
