The key difference is that the cited Infomaniak offer is general-purpose web hosting, while the GoDaddy offer is managed WordPress hosting. Compare products built for the same job, then check your local checkout price, renewal cost, included features and server-location fit before choosing.
What are you comparing?
Infomaniak’s web-hosting page describes general hosting and says it supports more than 100 content management systems. GoDaddy’s cited offer is specifically Managed Hosting for WordPress. That distinction matters: a WordPress-focused plan may bundle tools that a general hosting plan does not, while a general plan may suit sites built on other platforms. Compare the specific plans you would actually use, rather than treating either company’s entire hosting range as one product.

| Offer | Displayed price and term | Included capacity and features listed |
|---|---|---|
| Infomaniak Web Hosting | From CHF 10.91 per month; the page also advertises a 30-day free trial | 250 GB SSD, 20 websites, automatic backup and recovery, unlimited traffic and databases, support 7 days a week from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Domains are invoiced separately. |
| GoDaddy Managed Hosting for WordPress Basic | €2.79 per month versus €13.99, displayed for a one-year term; the page also advertises a 7-day free trial | One website and 10 GB NVMe storage. |
| GoDaddy Managed Hosting for WordPress Deluxe | €9.99 per month versus €17.99, displayed for a one-year term | One website, 20 GB NVMe storage, a staging site, CDN and SEO optimizer. |
The euro prices are the examples shown on GoDaddy’s selected-market page, not prices for all GoDaddy hosting plans or countries. The displayed comparison prices are not a complete renewal-cost analysis. Infomaniak says domains are billed separately; check whether your chosen domain and any other add-ons change your total with either provider.

Which is better for WordPress?
Choose by the tools your WordPress site needs
GoDaddy’s cited product is managed WordPress hosting, and its Deluxe listing names WordPress-oriented features including a staging site, CDN and SEO optimizer. Basic lists one site and 10 GB of NVMe storage. If those managed tools matter to your workflow, compare the exact tier that includes them with an equivalent WordPress-capable plan from Infomaniak.
Infomaniak’s offer is broader general-purpose web hosting, with the provider saying it supports more than 100 CMS. Its listed 20 websites and 250 GB SSD may be relevant if you need to host several sites, but those figures do not establish that its WordPress management tools match GoDaddy’s tiers. Check the detailed plan descriptions against your own requirements, such as staging, backups and the way updates are handled.
For non-WordPress sites
The cited GoDaddy page does not establish a like-for-like general hosting offer. If your site uses another CMS or custom software, compare Infomaniak’s general hosting plan with the specific GoDaddy product intended for that workload, rather than applying WordPress-plan prices or features to GoDaddy hosting as a whole.
How should you compare the real cost?
Headline monthly figures are useful for screening, not for deciding what a site will cost over time. The cited GoDaddy examples are tied to a one-year term and selected market; the page shows Basic at €2.79 per month against €13.99, and Deluxe at €9.99 against €17.99. Infomaniak displays a starting price of CHF 10.91 per month. These currencies and offers are not directly comparable without accounting for your market and billing terms.

- Set the same market and currency on both providers’ pages.
- Select comparable products and the same billing duration.
- Review the amount charged at checkout and the renewal price after any introductory term.
- Add separately billed items you need, including a domain where applicable, and note any optional services.
- Compare the resulting total for the period you expect to keep the site hosted.
Neither cited offer establishes a complete, like-for-like renewal total. Recheck the current checkout details before committing.
What capacity, backups and support are listed?
Infomaniak’s current web-hosting page lists 250 GB SSD space and 20 websites, plus automatic backup and recovery, unlimited traffic and databases, and support 7 days a week from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. The provider also says its backups are held in another data center. These are Infomaniak’s own offer and infrastructure statements; confirm the plan terms and recovery details that apply to your configuration.
Rank #4
GoDaddy’s cited page specifies different features by WordPress tier. Basic lists one website and 10 GB NVMe storage; Deluxe lists one website, 20 GB NVMe storage, a staging site, CDN and SEO optimizer. Higher tiers add further WordPress tools and capabilities. The reviewed offer does not provide a directly equivalent support-hours comparison with Infomaniak, so assess the channels, hours, language and escalation options offered in your market.
Does server location or performance make one better?
Infomaniak says its infrastructure and solutions are developed and hosted in Switzerland and that it operates its own Swiss data centers. It also says backups are held in another data center. These are provider statements, not an independent assessment. Consider where your visitors are, the latency your site needs and any data-location requirements that apply to your project.
Best Value
The available product pages do not establish the exact deployment location for every GoDaddy plan. Nor do they provide a matched independent performance test comparing both providers under the same workload, region and time period. GoDaddy’s performance language and Infomaniak’s infrastructure descriptions are not proof that either will deliver faster or more reliable hosting for your site. A fair decision on speed or uptime needs comparable independent measurements for the setup you intend to run.
How to make the decision
- Lean toward Infomaniak’s cited offer if general-purpose hosting, the listed multi-site capacity, included backup and recovery, its stated support hours, or Swiss infrastructure align with your needs—and the market-specific price works for you.
- Lean toward GoDaddy’s cited offer if you specifically want managed WordPress hosting and the features of the tier you select, such as Deluxe’s listed staging site, CDN and SEO optimizer, justify its cost for your project.
- Pause and compare another plan if you need a non-WordPress GoDaddy product, a direct support-level match, verified deployment details, or an independent performance comparison before deciding.
For either provider, make the final choice from the plan-level terms and total checkout cost for your market—not a starting price or a general brand claim.
