You can mirror a phone to a Panasonic TV only if the specific TV and phone support a compatible method. For an iPhone, that usually means AirPlay; for Android, it may mean the TV’s Mirroring or Display Mirroring feature. If the TV lacks the required feature, you may still be able to cast from a supported app or use a compatible HDMI streaming player.
Check what your Panasonic TV and phone support
Panasonic TVs do not all use the same mirroring system or menus. Availability depends on the exact model, its platform and firmware, and the region where it was sold. Before changing settings, find the full model number on the TV’s label or in its settings, then consult the manual or Panasonic support information for that model and region.

Also decide what you want to do:
- Mirror: show the phone’s screen on the TV, including content outside a particular app.
- Cast: send supported playback from an app, such as a video, to the TV or a streaming device. This does not necessarily duplicate the whole phone screen.
A TV appearing in an app’s Cast list does not establish that it can mirror the entire phone. Check the manual for the specific protocol and feature your intended method requires.
Mirror an iPhone with AirPlay
Use this method only if the Panasonic TV supports AirPlay. Panasonic’s North American instructions give this general TV menu route; labels can differ by model:

- On the TV, press Home on the remote.
- Open Settings, then Display & Sounds.
- Open Apple AirPlay & HomeKit and enable AirPlay if it is off.
- On the iPhone, open Control Center. On iPhone X or later, swipe down from the upper-right corner; on iPhone 8 or earlier, swipe up from the bottom edge.
- Tap Screen Mirroring, select the Panasonic TV, and enter the code shown on the TV if prompted.
Panasonic Japan’s guidance for some newer TV-prefixed models uses Home > Settings > Display and Sound > Apple AirPlay and HomeKit. That is Japan-market guidance, not a universal Panasonic menu path. Follow the manual for your own model if the labels or options differ.
Some Japan-market TH-prefixed VIERA models do not support iPhone screen mirroring because they lack AirPlay and MHL-supported HDMI. Panasonic says some may still share photos, video, or music through its TV Share app when that feature is available; that is not full-screen mirroring.

Mirror an Android phone
Android mirroring depends on support from both the phone and the TV. The phone’s control may be called Screen Mirroring, Cast, or something else, and some manufacturers remove or rename screen-mirroring controls. Panasonic’s UK guide states Android OS 4.2 or higher as its compatibility condition, but that threshold does not guarantee that every phone and TV combination will connect.

- Some VIERA models: press APPS on the remote and open the Mirroring app.
- Some Panasonic Fire TV models: open Home > Settings > Display and Sound > Enable Mirroring. On some North American models, the option is labelled Display Mirroring; the route varies.
- Some older TH-prefixed VIERA models: open Menu > Network Settings > Mirroring Settings.
- On the Android phone, open its screen-mirroring control and choose the VIERA or Panasonic TV from the available devices.
- Approve the connection on the TV if an approval prompt appears.
These are examples of model-specific routes, not interchangeable instructions for every Panasonic TV. If the feature or menu is missing, check the exact model’s manual rather than assuming the TV supports Android mirroring.
Cast video from a supported app instead
If you only want to play content from an app, app casting may work even when full-screen mirroring does not. Panasonic says some TVs support casting from apps such as YouTube or Netflix. For the workflow Panasonic describes:

- Connect the phone and TV to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the supported app and start or select the video.
- Tap the app’s Cast button and choose the TV.
This sends supported app playback; it does not promise that the TV will show everything on your phone. Availability depends on the TV and app.

If the Panasonic TV does not support the protocol you need, a compatible streaming player connected to an available HDMI input may provide another route. Panasonic UK names Roku, Amazon Fire TV sticks, and Chromecast as examples. They are examples, not a guarantee that every device supports full-screen mirroring from every phone.

Before choosing a device, verify that its current features support your phone, region, and intended use—app casting or full-screen mirroring—and confirm the TV has an available HDMI input. For the casting workflow Panasonic describes, the phone and streaming player should be on the same Wi-Fi network.
Fix a Panasonic TV that does not appear
Work through these checks in order:
- Verify the TV’s model and region. Look up its manual or Panasonic support information and confirm it supports the method you are trying to use. Panasonic’s brand name alone does not establish AirPlay or Android mirroring support.
- For iPhone mirroring, check AirPlay. Make sure AirPlay is enabled in the TV’s AirPlay and HomeKit settings, then select the TV under Screen Mirroring in Control Center. Enter the on-screen code if requested.
- For Android mirroring, enable the TV receiver. Open the model’s Mirroring or Display Mirroring feature before searching from the phone, then accept any approval request on the TV.
- For app casting, check Wi-Fi and the app list. Connect the phone and receiving device to the same Wi-Fi network, then select the TV from the app’s Cast list.
- Check protocol compatibility. The phone and receiving device must support a compatible method. If the TV is older or lacks the needed feature, use app casting if available or consider a compatible HDMI streaming player.
- Use the model-specific manual for menu differences. Panasonic warns that menus vary and that mirroring is not guaranteed to work across all devices.
Panasonic North America support states that Android mirroring and Apple AirPlay are supported, but that compatibility is not guaranteed on all devices. Treat a missing TV entry as a possible compatibility or model limitation, not just a menu problem.
