To get the right ViewSonic driver, look up your exact device model in ViewSonic’s official support or Download Center, then choose only a file listed for that model and your computer’s operating system. Installation steps and file types can differ by product, so use the directions on the specific product page rather than assuming one monitor or projector procedure applies to every ViewSonic device.
Find the support page for your exact ViewSonic device
- Identify the product. Check the device label, packaging, or existing product documentation for its exact name or model number. ViewSonic’s Online Support Center provides product support and a way to find drivers and user guides.
- Search the official Download Center. Enter the product name in ViewSonic’s Global Download Center. A precise model match matters: product families can include devices with different files and instructions.
- Open the matching product listing. Check that the page is for your model and locate its driver or software downloads. If you cannot identify the right listing, use ViewSonic’s Knowledge Base or contact Customer Support through the official support experience.
Check compatibility before downloading
Confirm that the download is listed for both your ViewSonic model and the operating system on the computer where you will install it. ViewSonic’s published download guidance directs users to identify the product and select the operating-system-specific driver; it does not establish one universal driver for all ViewSonic devices. The product page is the authority for the file currently offered and its compatibility information.

Download and install the driver
ViewSonic’s general instructions describe opening or saving the downloaded file, extracting it if it is zipped, following the installation prompts, and restarting the computer. The exact sequence depends on the product and package; follow the directions on your model’s page if they differ.
- Download the file from the official product listing after checking its model and operating-system details.
- If the file is a compressed archive, extract its contents. If it is an installer, open it or save it and run it as directed by the product instructions.
- Complete the installer prompts, if provided. Do not treat a generic installation flow as a substitute for model-specific directions.
- Restart the computer if the installation instructions request it. ViewSonic’s general published flow includes a restart, but a specific package’s instructions take precedence.
If you have an older installation CD
ViewSonic’s driver guidance also documents an older installation-CD route. For a custom installation, it describes selecting the ViewSonic INF file. This is a legacy option, not current compatibility guidance: the article includes historical Windows folder references, which should not be assumed to apply to current Windows versions or other operating systems. Use this route only when it matches your device’s documentation and the operating system you are using.

If the driver or product page is missing
Some older product resources may no longer be online. ViewSonic’s Global Download Center says drivers/software and user guides are available for at least 10 years after a product’s last distribution for sale. That is a stated availability policy, not a guarantee that every file is currently listed. If you cannot find the needed resource, ViewSonic advises contacting Customer Support through its Online Support Center. Avoid substituting an unverified third-party driver download when the official file is unavailable.
