Press Home on your LG remote, open Apps or LG Content Store, search for Acorn TV, then select Install and Launch if it appears. Whether it is available depends on your TV model and region, so a missing listing does not necessarily mean the app is unavailable on every LG TV.
Install Acorn TV from the LG app store

Connect your TV to the internet. Sign in to your LG account if prompted, and make sure the LG Services Country matches your actual location.

Choose the search icon and search for Acorn TV. Select the app in the results, then choose Install.

When installation finishes, select Launch. You can also open the app later from the TV’s app launcher.
LG describes this app-store process in its instructions for installing apps on an LG TV. Exact menu paths vary by webOS version; LG provides version-specific guidance for using the LG Content Store.
Why Acorn TV may not appear
LG does not guarantee the same app catalogue on every television. Its Content Store availability guidance, updated June 5, 2025, says supported apps can differ by the TV’s region of purchase and model. Check the catalogue for your specific TV and region, including the app’s listed webOS requirements. The available guidance does not establish a universal list of LG models or regions that support Acorn TV.

Fix common installation problems
If the app is missing or installation does not complete, check these settings in order. Menu names and locations depend on your webOS version, so consult LG support guidance for your TV generation.

Model, region, and software: Look up the app in the LG Content Store with your TV model and region selected. Check whether your webOS version meets the app’s stated requirements.

LG Services Country: Set the country to your actual location. LG notes that selecting “Other” or a different country may prevent app installation.

Internet connection: Confirm the TV is online over Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

Available storage: If the TV is out of space, remove apps you no longer use and try again.
