Get the target for the default browser context
Once you have a Puppeteer Browser instance, call its target() method:

Choose the target method by scope

Use browser.targets() when you need to enumerate targets across contexts, and context.targets() when your code should stay within a particular context. See the Browser.targets() and BrowserContext.targets() references.
Remember that a Target may not be a Page
A Puppeteer Target represents a Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP) target. Targets can represent pages, frames, workers, and other target types. Calling target.page() returns null if the target is not page-compatible, such as a frame, worker, or another non-page target. Do not assume that every result from browser.targets() has a usable Page. Get the Browser from a Target or Page
If you have a Target and need its owning browser, call target.browser(). If you have a Page, call page.browser(). These are reverse-direction lookups; they do not replace browser.target() when you need the browser’s default-context target. References: Target.browser() and Page.browser().

Do not use the obsolete Page.target() for new code
The current Puppeteer reference marks page.target() obsolete. Choose the replacement based on what you are trying to do:

- For a CDP session associated with a page, use
page.createCDPSession(). - To identify a popup opened by a page, use the page’s popup event.
- To retrieve the browser associated with a page, use
page.browser().

Does browser.target() return a Page?
No. It returns a Target associated with the default browser context. Use a page-compatible target’s page lookup when appropriate, and account for the possibility that it returns null.
Which method returns targets from every browser context?
Use browser.targets(). Use context.targets() to limit the list to one context.
