Gears of War: E-Day’s final launch specs set three targets: 1080p at 60 fps on Medium, 1440p at 60+ fps on High, and 4K at 60+ fps on Ultra. Each target includes DLSS, FSR, TSR or XeSS upscaling. The game also requires a graphics card with hardware ray tracing and 115 GB of SSD space. Compare your PC with the tier that matches your screen and performance goal; the Ultra tier is not necessary for everyone.
Gears of War: E-Day PC requirements at a glance
The Coalition published the final launch requirements on September 17, 2026; Xbox Wire confirmed their release, and PC Gamer reproduced the detailed table on October 1. These are target specifications, not a guarantee of identical frame rates on every PC.

How to tell which tier fits your PC
1. Start with your resolution and frame-rate goal
Choose the tier closest to the display you intend to use: minimum targets 1080p/60 on Medium, recommended targets 1440p/60+ on High, and Ultra targets 4K/60+ on Ultra. These targets all list an upscaling option, so they should not be read as native-resolution performance promises.
#1 Best Overall
- Gears of War's story plays out like a Hollywood blockbuster
- Unreal Engine 3 technology brings out the smallest details in the largest of battles
- To survive you must suppress your enemy, take cover, and use weapons and teammates to outlast the Locust Horde
- Gears of War for Windows features original content and all-new achievements to unlock
- LIVE supports online matchmaking for Gold members
2. Check hardware ray tracing, then compare your GPU
A hardware ray-tracing-capable graphics card is required. The requirements table says cards without dedicated hardware ray tracing are not supported, so an older GPU that lacks this capability is not a suitable workaround even if another part of its specification looks close. Once you pass that requirement, compare the exact model and VRAM with the tier you want.
3. Compare CPU and memory as a pair
Minimum lists 12 GB RAM and CPUs including the Ryzen 5 2600X, Core i7-6850K and Core i5-10400. Recommended and Ultra list 16 GB RAM alongside stronger example processors. Meeting the memory figure alone does not establish that a system will hit the tier’s frame-rate target.

- Disc only. Original case and manual not included. Will come packaged in a generic case.
- This renewed game has been cleaned, tested, and shows minimal wear.
Tom’s Hardware tested 25 CPUs and reported high utilization and performance scaling across processors under its test conditions. Its Low Core Mode reduced performance on its tested modern desktop CPUs; the outlet suggested it could be useful in dual-core conditions and did not test mobile chips or handhelds. Treat those findings as test-specific, not a universal tuning rule. Tom’s Hardware CPU testing.
4. Make sure the SSD has enough free space
Every tier specifies 115 GB on an SSD. Check available SSD capacity before installing. If you need additional space, confirm your PC supports the new drive’s interface and physical form factor before buying one.

- Listen up, soldier. The world is in ruin. The Locust Horde has risen. It’s Human vs Horde, and here’s your mission: Pick a side, build a powerful deck, and win the war. The fate of the world is in your hands!
- Experience the gritty gunplay of the video game in this official two-player card game. Take command of the COG forces or the Locust horde and seize control of the battlefield, one chapter at a time.
- Strategise your way through each chapter, bolstering your forces with classic characters like Marcus Fenix, General Raam, August “Cole Train” Cole, Dominic Santiago, and Damon Baird.
- Every battle counts. Whatever happens in each chapter will change what comes next, so you’d better be ready to dominate. The deck you build and decisions you make will change the way you play each campaign, making this a game you can reload time and time again.
- Whether you're a hardened vet or a grass-green rookie, get ready to take cover and lay down suppressive fire. Your enemies are trying to take the line, soldier. You’d better shove back hard.
What upscaling means for these targets
The listed targets include DLSS, AMD FSR, Unreal Engine TSR or Intel XeSS. Xbox also lists DLSS 4.5, including Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and Super Resolution, Nvidia Reflex, and Advanced Shader Delivery on compatible systems. Availability and results depend on compatible hardware and settings; upscaling is a performance option, not a promise that any GPU will meet a target. The game is built on Unreal Engine 5 and DirectX 12. Xbox Wire: PC features.

The final launch specs supersede the July multiplayer open beta specifications. The Coalition said the launch table followed continued PC stability and performance work after the beta. The official beta FAQ explicitly warned that beta specs were not launch requirements; its HDD and driver guidance applied to the beta, not as a replacement for the final launch table. - Spec Ops: The Line is the next big shooter from 2K Games, the publisher responsible for award-winning franchises such as Bio Shock and Borderlands.
- The Line is a provocative, cinematic third-person military shooter that challenges players' own morality by putting them in the middle of unspeakable depravity
- Spec Ops: The Line's emotional narrative unfolds within the destroyed opulence of Dubai.
How much confidence to put in the listed performance
The table gives intended targets, while independent results show how much outcomes can vary with configuration and settings. Tom’s Guide tested a Ryzen 7 9700X, RTX 5070 and 32 GB RAM, reporting about 50 fps at 4K High without its DLSS options enabled and about 115 fps after enabling DLSS 4.5 dynamic frame generation and upscaling while raising several ray-tracing settings to Ultra. Those are that outlet’s observations on its test PC, not a prediction for another system. Tom’s Guide performance test.
