That control description is a preview account of a demo, not evidence that an earlier RGG game uses the same system. Choose an older game for its own mechanics rather than expecting a direct substitute.

The upcoming game follows Makoto Daito through a fictional story unfolding across multiple eras and Japanese cities. That premise may appeal if you enjoy crime drama and character-focused stories, which makes RGG’s other series a natural direction to explore. It does not mean another RGG game covers the same events, historical periods, or locations.
