If you want the MOBA side of Deadlock, start with SMITE 2. If you mainly want team-based hero-shooter matches, try Overwatch; for a third-person superhero shooter, try Marvel Rivals. Each shares a different part of Deadlock’s appeal, rather than reproducing the whole combination.
That distinction matters because Valve describes Deadlock as a multiplayer game in early development, tagged as both a MOBA and a third-person shooter. Its Steam page says access is currently limited to friend invites through playtesters, lists the release date as “To be announced,” and notes that the build includes temporary art and experimental gameplay. Check Deadlock’s Steam page for its current access and development status.

Choose by the part you want to keep: MOBA structure and third-person action point to SMITE 2; hero abilities and team fights point to Overwatch; and third-person hero combat with a superhero setting points to Marvel Rivals.

Games like Deadlock for MOBA fans
SMITE 2: the closest match for third-person action-MOBA structure
SMITE 2 is the strongest pick if what you enjoy about Deadlock is combining direct third-person combat with MOBA strategy. Its official Steam listing calls it a free-to-play third-person action MOBA and marks it Early Access. That makes it a clearer fit for this specific combination than a hero shooter focused primarily on team matches.

Hi-Rez’s listing describes the combat as combining the feel of a hero shooter with the strategy of a 5v5 MOBA. Treat that as the developer’s promotional description, not an independent assessment. Its separate reference to “40+ million players” is about the SMITE franchise and is not a SMITE 2 player count.

Overwatch: team-based hero matches
Pick Overwatch if the appeal is choosing a hero and coordinating with a team in shooter matches. Blizzard describes it as free-to-play and team-based, with 5v5 matches and cross-platform play. Those are useful distinctions from Deadlock’s MOBA framing; the available official descriptions do not make Overwatch a third-person action MOBA.
