If you are still looking for games with a connection to Control—or deciding what to play next—Remedy’s own catalogue offers the most firmly supported starting points: Alan Wake 2, Alan Wake Remastered, and Quantum Break. They share a developer, not necessarily the same combat or structure.

If you have not played the original, start there. It is the direct series entry and the clearest way to experience the setting and story that lead into CONTROL Resonant. Remedy lists both games in its official catalogue.

Yes, if you would rather jump into the new game. Remedy describes CONTROL Resonant as both a sequel and a new entry point. Co-creative director Mikael Kasurinen also said, “You don’t need to have played the first Control to experience Resonant,” in a PlayStation Blog feature.

As of October 4, 2026, Remedy’s official game page says CONTROL Resonant is out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store, and GeForce NOW. Remedy says the Mac version will follow later in 2026; the page does not give a specific Mac release date.
