No: the reported $319 Galaxy Watch 9 deal was at Samsung, not Amazon. In a price comparison published October 6, 2026, 9to5Google listed Samsung’s 40mm Bluetooth model at $319 and Amazon’s 40mm model at $379. Those are dated reported prices, not confirmed live offers.

The article said a Galaxy Watch 8 trade-in could take another $150 off at Samsung. It did not provide the full eligibility terms, so treat that amount as a reported possibility rather than a guaranteed final price. Check the trade-in value and conditions shown at checkout before relying on it.

Should you consider the older Galaxy Watch 8?
9to5Google also cited the Galaxy Watch 8 at $219 on Amazon as an older-model alternative. That was a price in the same October 6 article; its current price and availability are unverified. Compare a live Watch 8 listing with the Watch 9’s current checkout price, rather than assuming the older model remains at $219.
What to verify before buying
- Check Samsung and Amazon directly for the current price, because the figures above are dated.
- Confirm the case size and connectivity in the listing. The $319 Samsung offer was specifically described as the 40mm Bluetooth model; do not assume another size or connectivity option has the same price.
- For a trade-in, confirm that your Galaxy Watch 8 qualifies and review the final credit and terms before placing the order.
The October 6 report also described the Watch 9 as having improved health tracking, One UI 9, better performance, Gemini raise-to-talk and a five-year update guarantee. Those product claims were not independently verified against Samsung documentation in the cited price report.
