That announcement does not guarantee the feature is available on every S25 FE, in every region, or on every software build. Check your phone’s Quick Share settings and app versions before relying on it.
What Samsung announced for the Galaxy S25 FE
Samsung’s US announcement lists the Galaxy S25 FE among the models getting Quick Share support for sharing with Apple devices as part of the March 2026 One UI 8.5 beta rollout. Samsung says the feature requires Galaxy Quick Share app version 13.8.51.27 or later and Google Play services version 26.11.xx or later. Samsung’s announcement also says the feature is provided by Google and is subject to change.

Those details describe an announced rollout, not universal availability. If your S25 FE does not show the Apple-device option, the announcement does not establish a single fix or a date by which every region or software build will receive it.

How to send a file directly to an iPhone, iPad, or Mac
- On the Apple device, open AirDrop settings and set receiving visibility to Everyone for 10 minutes.
- On the Galaxy S25 FE, open the photo or file you want to send and tap Share.
- Choose Quick Share and select the nearby Apple device when it appears.
- Ask the recipient to accept the AirDrop notification on their device.
Google documents this nearby-sharing flow in its Quick Share help page. The recipient’s AirDrop visibility setting and acceptance are part of the process; simply selecting a device on the Galaxy does not complete the transfer.

If the Apple device does not appear
- Check that Galaxy Quick Share is version 13.8.51.27 or later and Google Play services is version 26.11.xx or later, as Samsung specifies.
- Confirm the Apple device is set to receive from Everyone for 10 minutes.
- Check the S25 FE’s Quick Share settings and software availability. Samsung’s announcement covers a beta rollout, so a missing option may reflect the phone’s current build or region; Samsung does not publish a universal troubleshooting fix in that announcement.
QR-code sharing is a separate fallback
If the Galaxy does not have the AirDrop-compatible Quick Share feature, Google documents a QR-code option: the Android sender generates a code for the Apple recipient to scan, and the recipient downloads the file in a browser. Both devices need internet access. Google says the transfer is end-to-end encrypted, downloads remain available for 24 hours, and the route has a 10 GB per 24-hour limit. This is not the same as discovering a nearby Apple device and completing a direct transfer through an AirDrop prompt. Google’s instructions describe the QR route as an alternative for Android devices without AirDrop-compatible Quick Share.
Can an Apple device send a file back to the Galaxy?
Samsung Canada documents sending from an Apple device to a Galaxy by opening the Apple device’s Share menu and selecting AirDrop. See Samsung Canada’s Quick Share instructions. That is Samsung’s documented procedure for supported devices, not a guarantee that every S25 FE configuration can receive files this way.

Why this capability is arriving on Galaxy phones
Google announced Quick Share interoperability with AirDrop on November 20, 2025, initially rolling it out to the Pixel 10 family and saying it planned to expand the experience to more Android devices. Samsung’s March 2026 One UI 8.5 beta announcement later named the S25 FE among the Galaxy models included. The cited announcements describe Google’s implementation working with AirDrop receiving settings; they do not establish Apple endorsement or a permanent compatibility guarantee. Google’s announcement explains the initial rollout.
