What does the size difference mean in everyday use?
Pocketability and reach
The FE’s additional height and width make it the larger phone to carry and reach across. The measurements establish the difference in body size, but they cannot determine how comfortable either phone feels in a particular person’s hand or pocket.

Bulk and weight
The FE is also slightly thicker and 27 g heavier in this Samsung comparison. Those differences contribute to a larger, heavier device, although individual handling preference is subjective.
Cases and fit
Because the published body dimensions differ, choose a case labeled for the exact phone model. A case made for the S20 should not be assumed to fit the S20 FE, or vice versa; this is a practical inference from the measurements, not a separate Samsung compatibility statement.

Are the S20 FE screen and resolution larger too?
Samsung Germany lists a 6.2-inch full-rectangle display for the S20 and a 6.5-inch full-rectangle display for the S20 FE. The same comparison gives rounded-corner viewing diagonals of 6.1 inches and 6.3 inches, respectively. Samsung explains that screen size is measured diagonally and that the actual viewable area is smaller because of rounded corners and the camera opening.

The diagonal and resolution values are from the same Samsung Germany comparison. Samsung’s U.S. FE launch material lists a 6.4-inch rounded-corner value rather than the 6.3-inch value in the Germany comparison; the source and measurement convention should therefore be kept with any quoted figure. So, the FE offers a larger display diagonal, but the S20 has the higher stated pixel resolution. A larger screen does not by itself mean more pixels or finer detail.
