Reseat and gently rotate each bud, then try another supplied size if the fit still feels loose. Samsung warns that improper wear can make Buds2 and Buds2 Pro more likely to fall out. The right steps depend on your model, because Galaxy Buds do not all use the same fit components.
Start by identifying your Galaxy Buds model
Check the model name in the Galaxy Wearable app or on the product packaging. Then follow the instructions for that model: Buds with rubber ear tips need a suitable seal, while some models use wingtips for support and others have neither.

Reseat and adjust the buds
- Check the sides. Match the L and R markings to your left and right ears.
- Check the fit parts. On models with tips or wings, make sure each component is attached and aligned as intended. Do not treat parts as interchangeable across models.
- Insert gently and rotate. For Buds2 and Buds2 Pro, guide the bud in the direction of the ear canal. For Buds4, angle the blade so its microphone points toward your mouth. Follow your model’s guidance and rotate gently until the bud sits comfortably.
- Try a different supplied size. If the bud still feels loose, try another ear tip or wingtip size. Your left and right ears may need different sizes.
For Buds2 and Buds2 Pro, Samsung cautions that wearing the earbuds improperly “makes them more likely to fall out.” Its wearing guidance also advises against using these earbuds without their tips.

Samsung’s current US support page lists the fit test for Galaxy Buds4 Pro, Buds3 Pro, Buds2 Pro, and Buds2. It is not available for every Galaxy Buds model. The app’s precise menus can vary with phone software.

- Connect the earbuds to your phone and open the Galaxy Wearable app.
- Open Earbuds settings and choose Earbud fit test.
- Start the test and follow the on-screen prompts.
- If the result says Poor fit, adjust the buds and run the test again.

Clean debris carefully
Debris around a bud’s mesh or components can interfere with use. Samsung recommends removing visible debris gently with a cotton swab or soft, dry brush. Do not use a metal or wire brush: Samsung warns these may damage the mesh or other components. Follow Samsung Canada’s cleaning guidance or Samsung US’s earbud cleaning instructions.

Replace only parts made for your exact model
If a tip or wing is missing or worn, check the model name before choosing a replacement. Samsung’s instructions describe different components across the Buds line, so a part that looks similar may not be intended for your earbuds. Confirm the replacement is explicitly listed for your exact model.

Stop if your ears hurt or become irritated
Do not keep adjusting or wearing earbuds that cause ear pain or skin irritation. Samsung advises discontinuing use and consulting a doctor; see its Buds2 and Buds2 Pro safety guidance.
