Samsung’s U.S. announcement dated March 25, 2026, says the A37 5G would be available in the United States starting April 9, 2026, at a starting price of $449.99. That announcement does not establish a comparable U.S. price for the A27, so it cannot be used to calculate a U.S. price gap. Check the listing for your country, storage capacity and exact model before buying.
What changes in everyday use?
Ultrawide camera: a higher resolution on the A37
The A37 has an 8MP ultrawide camera, compared with 5MP on the A27. Both have a 50MP main camera. The resolution difference describes the camera hardware, not a tested difference in photo quality: megapixel counts alone do not establish which phone takes better pictures.

Charging: higher supported maximum on the A37
Samsung lists charging support of up to 45W for the A37 and up to 25W for the A27. These maximum rates do not specify how long either phone takes to charge. Samsung’s U.S. A37 announcement says the 45W charger is sold separately in the United States; charger availability or what is included can differ by market.

The A37 is rated IP68 and the A27 IP64. Samsung describes the A37’s IP68 testing as immersion in up to 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes. Its Uzbekistan announcement describes the A27’s IP64 rating in terms of water-spray testing. These are controlled test conditions, not a guarantee of unrestricted water safety: Samsung warns against beach or pool use. Neither rating means a phone is waterproof.

Display and battery: the headline figures match
Samsung lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a typical 5,000mAh battery for both phones. Those figures do not establish identical real-world display behavior or battery life, but they are not specification differences to use when choosing between these models.

Choose the A27 if the local price matters most
If both models are available at the El Salvador catalog prices above, the A27 costs less at either listed storage capacity. It retains the same listed display size and type, refresh-rate ceiling, main-camera resolution and typical battery capacity as the A37. The trade-offs are its 5MP ultrawide camera, lower maximum supported charging rate and IP64 rating.

Consider the A37 if its specific upgrades justify the local premium
The A37’s documented specification advantages are its 8MP ultrawide camera, up-to-45W charging support and IP68 rating. Those may matter if you value a higher-resolution ultrawide, want the higher supported charging ceiling, or prefer the stronger stated resistance rating. The specifications alone do not prove better photos, a particular charge time or protection from every water exposure.
Compare local listings, not prices across countries
Prices and configurations differ by market. The El Salvador price gap should not be applied to another country, and the U.S. A37 launch price does not supply a U.S. A27 comparison. Check the current price for the same storage capacity and confirm the regional model and configuration before purchase.
What the published specifications do not settle
The cited Samsung pages do not establish a complete head-to-head comparison of chipset, measured performance, battery runtime, exact software-support duration for both models, or identical AI features. No independent comparative benchmark, camera test or battery-runtime test is established here. Samsung notes that AI availability can depend on model, software, region, language, Samsung account and internet connectivity, so feature availability should be checked for the exact phone and market.
