Which phone has the better battery and software promise?
Battery capacity
Samsung lists a 6,000 mAh typical battery for the M47 and a 5,000 mAh typical battery for the A35. That is a 1,000 mAh difference in stated capacity, not a measured runtime comparison. Capacity alone cannot establish how long either phone lasts in everyday use.

Software support
Samsung’s M47 product page promises six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates from the first global launch date. Samsung India’s A35 launch announcement promised up to four Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates. These are the published commitments; they do not by themselves establish a specific future update end date.

How do the cameras differ?
The A35’s listed rear setup includes an 8 MP ultra-wide camera and a 5 MP macro camera. The M47 page lists 5 MP and 2 MP secondary rear cameras without identifying them in the supplied specifications as ultra-wide or macro. Both phones list a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization. The A35 lists a 13 MP front camera, compared with 12 MP on the M47.
These resolution and configuration details do not prove which phone takes better photos. Image quality depends on more than megapixel counts, and no direct camera test is established here.

What is the price difference?
The figures below are historical Indian launch-price evidence, not current offers. The M47 figure comes from a secondary report; Samsung’s captured product page confirms the launch date but not that price. Samsung’s A35 announcement included specified bank cashback in its quoted launch prices.

On those launch figures, the M47 8 GB/128 GB was reported INR 4,000 below the A35 8 GB/128 GB launch price. That arithmetic is not a present-day price comparison: current like-for-like pricing, stock, and offers are unconfirmed. Which one should you choose?
- Consider the M47 if its India-market listing is available to you and you prioritize the larger stated battery, microSD expansion, and Samsung’s longer published support commitment.
- Consider the A35 if the listed ultra-wide rear camera matters to you, or if you want the confirmed Indian 8 GB/256 GB configuration.
- Compare before paying if price is the deciding factor: verify the same RAM/storage tier, the seller’s current price, stock, included accessories, and local network compatibility. The M47 listing’s “Not for sale” status means availability should be checked rather than assumed.
Both official specification pages list FHD+ 120 Hz Super AMOLED displays and optical image stabilization for the main camera. For the M47, those specifications and its listed features are documented for Samsung India only; check the exact regional model and supported network bands where you live.
