The Galaxy A57 is thinner and lighter, has a slightly larger display and a higher-resolution ultrawide camera, and comes with a longer software-support promise than the Galaxy A35. Samsung’s U.S. launch prices differed by $150, but those are 2024 and 2026 starting prices—not a current street-price comparison. Whether the A57 is worth more depends on today’s local prices and how much you value those upgrades.

| RAM and storage listed | 6 GB RAM, 128 GB storage in the U.S. announcement; options vary by carrier and market | Multiple RAM/storage combinations in the global specification; availability varies by region |
| Water- and dust-resistance rating | Not stated in the cited U.S. launch specification | IP68 |
Samsung’s published dimensions and specifications are from its Galaxy A35 U.S. announcement and Galaxy A57 global specifications. Screen diagonals are measured with rounded corners; usable viewing area is smaller because of the rounded corners and camera cutout. A missing IP rating in the cited A35 table does not prove the phone lacks water resistance.

What changes in everyday use?
A57 is substantially lighter and slimmer
The A57 weighs 179 g and is 6.9 mm thick, compared with 209 g and 8.2 mm for the A35. Their listed heights are nearly identical, but the A57 is narrower and noticeably thinner on paper. That makes it the clearer choice if a lighter phone that is easier to handle matters to you.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →The display is slightly larger, not faster on the listed refresh rate
The A57 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED+ display; the A35 has a 6.6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display. Both are specified for refresh rates up to 120 Hz. Those figures establish a small size difference and a panel-name distinction, but they do not by themselves establish which screen looks better in person.

The ultrawide gets more pixels, but that is not a camera-quality verdict
Samsung lists a 12 MP ultrawide on the A57 and an 8 MP ultrawide on the A35. Both have a 50 MP main camera and 5 MP macro camera in the cited specifications. Megapixel counts alone cannot show which phone takes better photos; the specifications do not provide a controlled, independent camera comparison.
Battery capacity is equal; endurance is unproven here
Both phones are listed with a typical 5,000 mAh battery. Equal capacity does not mean equal battery life: screen, processor, software, signal conditions, and usage affect endurance. Samsung says the A57 can last up to two days, but that is the company’s claim, not an independent test result. The cited material does not establish comparative real-world battery endurance or charging details.

Which phone should you choose?
Choose the A57 if its upgrades justify the current price gap
- You want a lighter, thinner phone and a slightly larger display.
- You value the higher-resolution ultrawide specification.
- You expect to keep the phone longer and prioritize Samsung’s longer stated software-support commitment.
Choose the A35 if it is substantially cheaper for your needs
- You are comfortable with its heavier, thicker design and 6.6-inch display.
- The listed 50 MP main and 5 MP macro cameras meet your needs, and the ultrawide specification is not decisive.
- A lower current price matters more than the A57’s hardware refinements and longer support promise.
Before buying either model, verify the exact regional model, storage, network compatibility, warranty, and seller. The specification comparison does not establish independent performance differences, repair costs, or a current A35 update status, so those should not be assumed from launch materials alone.

Samsung’s A57 announcement promises up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates.
