What this week’s roundup covers
Fortune’s weekly “Power Moves” column tracks appointments, promotions, resignations, and retirements among senior leaders at Fortune 500 companies. This edition covers announcements made Sept. 26–Oct. 2, 2026; it is a snapshot of that week, not a year-to-date turnover count. Fortune credits S&P Global Market Intelligence. The account reports announced plans and appointments; it does not, by itself, establish confirmation from company filings or announcements. Read Fortune’s Oct. 2 roundup.

| Company | Change reported | Timing | Outgoing leader’s next status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hartford Insurance Group (No. 160) | President A. Morris “Mo” Tooker appointed CEO | Effective March 1, 2027 | Christopher Swift is expected to become Executive Chair |
| General Mills (No. 227) | Dana McNabb appointed CEO | Effective Jan. 1, 2027 | Jeffrey L. Harmening is retiring |
| Northern Trust (No. 317) | CFO Dave W. Fox, Jr. announced retirement | On or around March 31, 2027 | Successor search to begin |
| Albertsons (No. 57) | Cody Perdue appointed interim CFO alongside existing duties | Exact effective date not stated by Fortune | Sharon McCollam is retiring and is to advise through Feb. 27, 2027 |
The two CEO items are internal successions with future effective dates. The CFO items are different kinds of transitions: Northern Trust has a planned retirement and successor search, while Albertsons has interim coverage. Swift’s move to Executive Chair and McCollam’s advisory period are distinct from an immediate departure from their companies.
