In Fortnite’s October 6, 2026 hotfix, Freddy’s Nightmare reportedly became less punishing to sprint with: its sprint-speed multiplier and acceleration increased, while stamina drain dropped. Rebecca’s Guns also got a trade-off—less environmental damage but shorter reloads—and the Dual Fiend Hunters received a lower ADS spread.
What changed in the October 6 Fortnite hotfix?
Beebom’s October 6 report lists changes to three weapon groups. Epic’s official materials cited below do not publish these numerical hotfix values, so treat them as reported figures rather than independently confirmed official patch-note numbers.

Why Freddy’s Nightmare is easier to sprint with
The reported speed multiplier rose from 1.4x to 1.9x, and sprint acceleration rose from 3.0x to 3.3x. At the same time, stamina drain fell from 15/s to 8/s. Together, those adjustments make sprinting with the item more favorable: it accelerates faster, reaches a higher reported sprint multiplier, and consumes less stamina.

Epic’s October 1 Fortnitemares announcement describes the item’s combat function: defeating Freddy awards Freddy’s Nightmare, which lets the wielder teleport into range and slash an opponent. The announcement explains how to obtain and use it, but does not state the October 6 movement figures. See Epic’s Fortnitemares announcement.
Rebecca’s Guns: environmental damage down, reloads faster
The October 6 report describes a mixed adjustment rather than a simple nerf. Rebecca’s AR and SMG variants reportedly deal less environmental damage, while both reload more quickly. The AR reload changed from 1.73 seconds to 1.36 seconds; the SMG reload changed from 1.65 seconds to 1.36 seconds.

Beebom also lists tiered environmental-damage values, but its article text does not clearly map each value to a rarity. Without that mapping, those individual figures should not be assigned to specific weapon tiers.
Keep the launch changes separate
Epic’s October 1 Communities post lists earlier launch adjustments for Rebecca’s Guns: increased SMG damage, including at longer ranges, and reduced spread and recoil for both the SMG and AR. Those launch notes are separate from the environmental-damage and reload-time changes reported on October 6; they do not confirm the later hotfix. What changed for the Dual Fiend Hunters?
The Dual Fiend Hunters’ reported ADS spread fell from 0.33 to 0.28. Beebom describes this as a 15.15% accuracy increase. This is an aiming-spread adjustment, distinct from Freddy’s mobility changes and Rebecca’s environmental-damage and reload trade-off.
