A later community checklist updated October 1 reports 24 released variant-capable Sprites, but does not provide a corresponding full Gold-name roster in the reviewed material. Epic’s Season 4 overview also does not enumerate Gold variants. Check the in-game collection for the current roster rather than treating the September list as exhaustive.
How to search for Gold Sprites
Beebom’s location-specific guide points players toward Rare or Relic Chests and Cheat Codes, with the relevant locations varying by Sprite. Its Gold Blinky route additionally mentions defeating Ghosts and using Cheat Codes around the named islands at night. The October community checklist describes broader sources, including chests, supply drops, and world spawns. None of these reports guarantees a specific Gold Sprite from a particular attempt.

- If using a Cheat Code, the checklist says Legendary (orange) Cheat Codes guarantee a variant Sprite since v42.20, released September 17, 2026. This is community-reported mechanics information, not a Gold-specific guarantee or an official Epic confirmation.
- Extract before the match ends if you want to retain a found Gold Sprite and add it to your collection or Sprite Garden. This retention instruction comes from the October community checklist.
Gold Crown has a separate reported unlock condition
The October checklist says Gold Crown is unlocked by winning a match while Cheat Master Crown is equipped. That later instruction is more specific than Beebom’s September 25 description, which says to level up the previous variant. The win condition is community-reported, not confirmed in Epic’s season overview.
What Gold changes—and what it does not
The community checklist and Beebom report Gold’s distinguishing benefit as 3× bonus Sprite XP from eliminations. It is Sprite XP, not an established Battle Pass XP bonus. The checklist says the Sprite’s underlying ability remains the same across forms. It characterizes Gold as a progression choice, Cheat Master as a Cheat Code perk, and Loot Hacker as a way to get extra items through Loot Hacks; this comparison is community-guide reporting, not detail from Epic’s announcement.

Epic Games’ August 20, 2026 Chapter 7 Season 4 overview establishes the broader setting: new Sprites arrive in Battle Royale, and Season 3 Sprites remain in Sprite Garden, where players can show their collections. Epic also says players can spend Sprite Dust on Loot Hacks to customize chest drops with bonus items. The announcement does not list Gold variants, explain their individual acquisition routes, or publish Gold drop rates.
How rare are Gold Sprites?
Epic has not published Season 4 Gold Sprite drop rates, according to the October 1 community checklist. Beebom’s September 25 guide gives percentage estimates, but those are the guide’s estimates, not official rates; they should not be treated as verified odds. The available reporting establishes possible sources, not the chance of finding a Gold Sprite in any given chest, drop, or match.
