If Fluxguard alerts for website changes are not reaching you in India, first find out whether Fluxguard recorded a change at all. If there is a new captured version but no email, check your alert schedule and mailbox. If there is no new version, investigate the monitored page, crawl and detection settings instead. Fluxguard’s available documentation does not establish an India-specific restriction or an active India-related delivery incident, so location alone is not evidence of the cause.
First identify where the alert stopped
There are two different failures that can look like “alerts are not working”: Fluxguard did not crawl or record the expected change, or it recorded the change but the notification did not reach your inbox when expected. Check the monitoring record before changing email settings.

- Open the monitored session and inspect its activity, latest crawl and captured versions in Session View.
- If there is no recent crawl or new version, continue with the monitoring and detection checks below.
- If Fluxguard recorded a new version, check the account’s notification preferences and then investigate mail delivery.
Keep track of the monitored URL, the last successful crawl, the version or change you expected an alert for, the time you expected the notification, and the recipient email provider. These details help distinguish a crawl problem from a delivery problem.

Confirm the monitored page and initial crawl
Verify that the site or page is enabled for monitoring and that its initial crawl completed. Fluxguard’s monitoring tutorial advises waiting for that initial crawl, then reviewing the Session View and captured versions. If the page has not been crawled successfully, there may be no recorded change to notify you about.
#1 Best Overall
Review the crawl frequency
Open the session’s Session Settings and check its crawl frequency. A change cannot be detected before a crawl visits the page, so the schedule affects when Fluxguard can notice it. Fluxguard’s frequency guidance says faster crawl frequencies require site verification by email from the monitored domain. If you are trying to use a faster schedule, check whether that verification is complete.
Check whether the change matches the detection settings
Fluxguard’s tutorial describes text extraction as the default primary detection strategy. When that strategy detects a change and a new version is recorded, Fluxguard performs additional comparisons, including HTML, visual and network comparisons. That means a visual-only or code-only difference may not create a new version if it does not meet the configured primary detection strategy.
Rank #2
- Open the session’s Detect tab and review the selected detection configuration.
- Compare the latest captured version with the prior one in Session View.
- Check whether the expected difference appears in the comparison and whether it qualifies under the configured primary strategy.
If the expected change is visible only in a secondary comparison, that is a different issue from an email being lost. Review the detection configuration and captured evidence before treating it as a delivery failure.
Check alert timing and categories
Fluxguard’s FAQ says daily change summaries are the default, and that alert frequency is configurable in Account Settings. Available choices described in the FAQ include immediate, daily and weekly intervals, along with other available intervals. A daily or weekly digest can therefore make a working notification system appear silent when you expect an email immediately.
- Open Account Settings and check the alert frequency selected for email.
- Confirm that the relevant change category is included. Category selection can limit which site changes appear in email.
- Compare the selected schedule with the time of the recorded change. Allow for the configured digest interval rather than assuming every recorded change triggers an immediate message.
Look for the message in your mailbox
If Fluxguard recorded a change and the configured notification timing has passed, check the recipient mailbox and its handling rules. For Gmail, Google recommends searching Mail, Spam and Bin, then checking filters, forwarding, connected email clients and available storage.
- Search all relevant folders: Look in Mail, Spam and Bin for the alert. If it is in Spam, mark it “Not spam.”
- Review filters: A filter may skip the inbox, archive or delete a message. Check filters that could match the alert.
- Check forwarding and connected clients: A forwarding rule or another email client may move or remove messages from the inbox.
- Check storage: If the mailbox is full, it may be unable to receive new messages.
These steps are Gmail-specific. If you use another provider, check its spam folder, rules, forwarding, storage and administrator controls. Google also documents adding a trusted sender to contacts or creating a filter that prevents its messages from going to Spam; use those Gmail options only if they fit your mail setup.
Rank #4
Compare another notification route and gather evidence
Fluxguard documents Slack and webhook integrations as additional notification routes. If you already have one configured, compare its notification with the email and the recorded activity. A Slack or webhook notification alongside a recorded change can help narrow the problem to email preferences or mailbox handling; no notification route and no recorded version point back toward crawling or detection.
Recommended Free Tools
Before contacting Fluxguard support or your email administrator, collect the monitored URL, last successful crawl, relevant captured version, configured alert frequency and category, expected notification time, recipient provider, and any bounce or rejection message. The available documentation does not establish a current service incident, so avoid treating a regional delivery problem as confirmed without account-specific evidence.

ScreenshotNeo is an alternative for capturing a page when you need a visual record to investigate a suspected change; it is a screenshot API, not a replacement for Fluxguard’s monitoring alerts. One GET request returns an image or PDF, and its clean-shot options can accept consent banners and remove known consent platforms, newsletter popups and chat widgets before capture. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts and failed loads are not billed; cache hits are also free. It also offers an MCP server for AI agents.
For example, save a screenshot of the page as WebP with cURL:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options, including output format and capture settings. ScreenshotNeo includes 1,000 screenshots per month free with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Learn about ScreenshotNeo, then sign up free for 1,000 screenshots a month with no card.

Does Fluxguard block alerts to users in India?
The available Fluxguard documentation does not establish an India-specific restriction. Check the crawl record, account settings and recipient mailbox before attributing the problem to geography.
Can I use a screenshot API instead of Fluxguard for change alerts?
No. ScreenshotNeo can capture a page for visual inspection, but it is not a substitute for Fluxguard’s monitoring and change-notification workflow.
