Razorpay, PayU, and Cashfree all document Flutter integration routes for Indian apps, but none can be named the universal best choice from the available documentation. The right fit depends first on what you sell, then on the payment methods your merchant account can use, the checkout experience you want, and the provider’s current commercial terms. If your app sells digital goods or services through Google Play, check Play Billing policy before choosing a third-party gateway.
First decide what your app is selling
A Flutter SDK does not determine which payment method your app is allowed to use. The key distinction is between ordinary checkout for physical goods or services and purchases of digital goods or services inside an app distributed through Google Play.

Physical goods and services
For payments for physical goods or services, compare gateways based on the methods and checkout flows available to your merchant account, platform support, integration work, and the provider’s written terms. This is a different question from selling digital features or subscriptions inside a Play-distributed app.
Digital goods and services in a Google Play app
Google Play’s Payments policy generally requires Play’s billing system for in-app purchases of digital goods and services distributed on Google Play, subject to policy exceptions. Google also describes an alternative billing route for eligible apps and transactions in India. That route has program enrollment and reporting requirements; a payment gateway SDK does not waive them.

- With Square Terminal, you can ring up sales, accept payments, and print receipts, all with one device. Use it at the counter or ring up customers anywhere in your store.
- Accept all major credit and debit cards and pay one low rate with no hidden fees and no long-term contracts.
- Process chip cards in just two seconds.
- Get your money as soon as the next business day.
- Use it cordlessly with the built-in battery, designed to last all day.
Google states that the service fee for eligible alternative-billing transactions is reduced by 4% from the applicable Play billing service fee. This is a reduction to Google’s service fee, not a statement that gateway processing is free or that alternative billing will cost less overall. Check the current India billing requirements and service-fee terms, including whether your app and purchase flow qualify.
How the documented Flutter options compare
The providers’ documentation establishes that each has a Flutter route; it does not establish equal availability, identical checkout experiences, or comparative payment success. Treat listed methods as options to verify with the provider, not a guarantee that every method is enabled for every merchant.

| Provider | What its reviewed documentation establishes | What to verify for your app |
|---|---|---|
| Razorpay | Its Standard Flutter Checkout guide covers plugin setup, event handlers, a test payment, webhooks, and go-live steps. Its payment-method documentation lists cards, netbanking, UPI, EMI, and wallets; some other methods require approval or additional integration. | Whether Standard Checkout or a Custom flow suits your UI; which methods and UPI flow are enabled for your account; and the account’s actual terms. |
| PayU | Checkout Pro for Flutter lists cards, netbanking, UPI, PhonePe, recurring payments, wallets, EMI, and further options. The page states Android minimum SDK 21 and iOS minimum version 11. | Whether the native checkout and platform baseline suit your app, and which listed methods are available for your merchant account and use case. |
| Cashfree | The gateway overview describes hosted checkout, mobile SDKs, server APIs, payment links and forms, and links to a Flutter integration route. Specific Flutter methods and platform requirements are not stated in that overview. | Which Flutter route to use, supported methods and platform compatibility, onboarding requirements, and the terms in your account offer. |
Method lists are not performance results. The documentation reviewed does not provide a controlled comparison of authorization or payment success rates for these providers.

Checkout experience
Decide whether a provider’s documented checkout flow gives you the user experience you need or whether the app needs a more customized integration. Razorpay’s documentation distinguishes Standard Checkout from a Custom SDK route. PayU’s cited Flutter option is Checkout Pro. The Cashfree overview points to a Flutter route but does not, by itself, establish the details of that integration. Confirm the precise flow and its current documentation before committing to an implementation.

Payment methods
Start with the methods your customers actually need, then ask the provider which are approved and enabled for your account. A broad published list does not mean every method is available to every merchant, or that the methods have the same user experience.
For Razorpay, the cited method documentation flags UPI Collect deprecation effective 28 February 2026 under NPCI guidelines. Do not build a new Collect-based flow from an older tutorial; confirm the currently recommended UPI intent or other flow and the configuration available to your account.

Android and iOS support
PayU’s cited Checkout Pro page states Android minimum SDK 21 and iOS minimum version 11. Razorpay’s Flutter plugin repository describes a Flutter plugin wrapping native Android and iOS SDKs; the retrieved repository text lists Android API level 19 or higher and iOS deployment target 10 or higher. Treat those Razorpay figures as repository-text values, not a guarantee for every current release. Check each provider’s current guide and release requirements against your app’s actual Android and iOS targets. The Cashfree overview does not establish its Flutter platform minimums.
Plan the production integration, not just the package install
Adding a Flutter dependency is only one part of a reliable payment flow. Follow the provider’s current order lifecycle and server-side verification instructions, and make sure your backend can reconcile a payment outcome with the order it belongs to. Razorpay’s documented Standard Flutter steps explicitly include test transactions, webhooks, and replacing test credentials with live keys for go-live.
Best Value
- A complete countertop point of sale — Combine dual responsive touchscreens, built-in POS software, and durable hardware for a fast, reliable checkout experience.
- Serve customers faster — Run smoothly through busy shifts, complex menus, and big orders with high-speed processing, memory, and responsive touchscreen displays.
- Accept every way they pay — Take all major cards at one simple rate, with no hidden fees or long-term contracts. Receive funds as soon as the next business day.
- Handle real-world demands — Resist everyday spills, dust, and wear with a durable, IP54-rated design.
- Stay reliable through every rush — Maintain strong connectivity and consistent performance through your busiest hours.
- Confirm the use case and account: establish whether the transaction is for physical goods or services, or digital content in a Play-distributed app; confirm merchant eligibility and the methods approved for the account.
- Choose the documented Flutter flow: check its current setup instructions and Android and iOS requirements against the app’s supported versions.
- Build the payment lifecycle: use the provider’s instructions for creating and verifying orders or payments on the server, handling client callbacks, and processing webhooks. Do not treat a client-side success event alone as proof that an order is paid.
- Test before launch: exercise successful, failed, and interrupted payment paths in the provider’s test environment, and ensure your app and backend handle each outcome correctly.
- Complete go-live steps: configure production credentials and webhook settings as instructed by the provider; for Razorpay’s documented flow, replace test keys with live keys after testing.
Refunds, disputes, and reconciliation also affect the operational fit. Confirm how those processes work for your account in the provider’s current documentation and written offer rather than assuming the Flutter SDK covers them.
Compare the commercial terms directly
The reviewed sources do not establish comparable current merchant pricing, settlement windows, onboarding eligibility, refund or dispute terms, or support quality across the three providers. There is therefore no evidence-based fee or settlement ranking here. Ask each provider for terms specific to your business and expected transaction types, and compare them on the same basis before selecting a gateway.
- Merchant eligibility, required onboarding documents, and any method-specific approvals.
- Processing charges and any other applicable fees for your payment mix.
- Settlement timing and reconciliation details for your account.
- Refund and dispute workflows, responsibilities, and applicable terms.
- Support channels and escalation arrangements available to your merchant account.
These are account-specific decision points; a public integration page cannot answer them for your business.
