Mark Stephen Asea, a 36-year-old Port St. Lucie resident, was reportedly booked on September 30, 2026, on one felony charge described in news reports as an offense against computer users. The reports say the charge followed allegations that private information about two women appeared in TikTok content. An arrest is not a finding of guilt, and the reported allegations have not been established in court.

What Mark Asea is accused of

News reports describing a police affidavit say two women reported that their private information appeared in Asea’s TikTok content. The accounts involve different circumstances, and the reporting does not establish how the information was obtained.

First complainant: information discussed in TikTok videos

According to the reports, one woman said a password had been shared only in a closed TikTok group chat. She also reported that posts discussed personal device and financial details. The reports attribute to investigators a count of more than 100 videos mentioning her, with as many as six in one day; this is an allegation described from the affidavit, not an independently verified count.

Second complainant: remote troubleshooting and a private photo

A second woman reportedly said she allowed Asea remote access to her computer in October 2025 to troubleshoot an application. Months later, she alleged that a private photo from a Telegram message appeared in a TikTok post and that she had not authorized access to her information.

Reported statements in videos

Fox News and Dexerto report that investigators’ affidavit included statements attributed to Asea in videos, including: “Let’s talk about your actual password” and “How about we talk about the last 10 purchases you made online?” The quotes are reported statements, not proof that any alleged access occurred. Fox News’ account and Dexerto’s report describe the allegations from the affidavit.

The current charge and reported bond

Reports say Asea was booked on September 30 on one felony charge described as an offense against computer users, with bond reported at $35,000. The available reporting does not provide a case-specific affidavit or establish the precise statutory provision. The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office inmate search cautions that inmate information can change quickly and that an arrest does not mean conviction.

How the current case differs from the earlier proceedings

The current charge followed a separate earlier criminal case and a civil injunction matter. Reports say Asea was arrested in April 2026 on earlier stalking and computer-related allegations, which prosecutors dropped in May. The reporting does not explain why those charges were dropped or what prompted prosecutors to reopen the criminal case.

A woman reportedly obtained a temporary civil stalking injunction in July. That civil injunction was dissolved and the civil case dismissed on September 8, 2026. The civil case is separate from the criminal proceedings; its dismissal does not decide the current criminal charge.

How to check for official updates

The sheriff’s inmate search is a changing booking-status resource, not a definitive court record. For records requests, the sheriff’s office provides a public-records request process and notes that some active-investigation and victim information may be exempt. For a current court outcome, consult the case-specific docket or an official court record rather than assuming the scheduled arraignment took place.
