Fliff’s Cash Sweepstakes rules exclude 20 states, while its Pick’Em page lists 11 states where those contests are available. Those lists differ, and availability is not a determination that participation is legal for every person in a state. Check the rules for the specific feature and your current location before using it.
Fliff Cash Sweepstakes: states excluded by the rules
Fliff’s Cash Sweepstakes rules, last updated June 30, 2026, exclude Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Washington, and West Virginia. The rules require participants to be legal residents of, and located in, an eligible U.S. state. They also set an age threshold of 18 or the jurisdiction’s age of majority, whichever is later. Read Fliff’s Cash Sweepstakes rules.

The rules say participation is void where prohibited by law and place responsibility on participants to determine whether the Sweepstakes is legal and compliant where they reside. The exclusion list therefore describes Fliff’s stated eligibility, not a personal legal opinion for every resident or situation.
Fliff Pick’Em: states listed as available
Fliff lists Pick’Em availability in California, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, and West Virginia. Fliff describes Pick’Em as peer-to-peer Daily Fantasy Sports contests where participants predict whether athletes will go over or under statistical projections. See the Pick’Em page and FAQ and Pick’Em Contest Rules.
#1 Best Overall
California, Kentucky, and West Virginia appear on the Pick’Em availability list but are excluded from the Cash Sweepstakes. That is why a generic answer to “Is Fliff legal in my state?” can be misleading: you need to identify the particular Fliff product.
What the different Fliff features involve
Fliff Coins
Fliff describes Coins as social-play currency for games and leaderboards. Coins cannot be transferred outside the game or redeemed for prizes.
Fliff Cash
Fliff Cash is associated with promotional sweepstakes. It can be used in additional games or redeemed for prizes when minimum redemption and identity requirements are met. Fliff says no purchase is necessary to obtain Fliff Cash. These features are subject to the Sweepstakes rules and their state restrictions; see Fliff’s official site.
Pick’Em
Pick’Em is a separate DFS product with its own state list and contest rules. Its FAQ says customers must verify identity before entering a contest, depositing, or withdrawing. Fliff describes verification as including personal information, a government-issued ID, and a live selfie. Check the current FAQ and rules for the requirements that apply when you use the product.
How to check whether you can use Fliff
- Identify the feature. Decide whether you mean social games using Fliff Coins, Fliff Cash promotional games and sweepstakes, or Pick’Em DFS.
- Open that feature’s current rules. Use the relevant Fliff rules or product page rather than relying on a general state list.
- Check both residence and location. The Sweepstakes rules require eligible-state residence and location. Confirm any location conditions for the specific feature.
- Check age and verification requirements. For the Sweepstakes, the stated minimum is age 18 or the local age of majority, whichever is later. Pick’Em’s FAQ describes identity verification before entry, deposit, or withdrawal.
- Recheck before participating. Fliff says eligibility may vary month to month, so the official current rules and in-app state check should guide your decision.
What “legal states” can—and cannot—tell you
The published lists answer which states Fliff says are eligible for a particular product; they do not establish that participation is lawful for every individual or circumstance. Fliff’s Sweepstakes rules state: “It is the sole responsibility of a Participant to determine whether the Sweepstakes is legal and compliant with all regulations in the jurisdiction in which the Participant resides.” They also state: “PARTICIPATION IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.” These statements are from Fliff’s rules last updated June 30, 2026.
Because state rules and product availability can change, treat the operator’s current rules as an eligibility check, not a substitute for advice about your own legal situation.
