The “We’ve noticed your computer is currently offline” message in EA Sports FC 26 does not necessarily mean your PC has lost internet access. EA developer EAKalina says it usually appears when the game “can’t verify your account properly.” Check EA’s server status, then sign back into the EA app with the account linked to your game and work through the checks below.
What the message means
The prompt asks you to connect to the internet to activate FC 26, but the message alone does not establish that your computer is physically offline. In a Steam community discussion about this exact FC 26 message, EA developer EAKalina said it usually appears when the game cannot verify the account properly. That points to account authentication as one possibility, not a confirmed single cause.

The problem may be service-side, tied to the EA app sign-in or the EA Account linked to the game, or related to local connection stability. Check each condition rather than assuming the internet connection is down.

Work through these checks in order
- Check EA service status. Open EA’s server-status page and check both FC 26 and the EA app. If EA reports a service problem, wait for service to recover and try again.
- Sign out of the EA app and back in. Fully sign out, then sign in with the EA Account associated with your FC 26 game entitlement. Relaunch the game afterward.
- Check your computer’s date and time. Make sure the system date, time, and time zone are accurate; EA’s developer specifically lists this as a check for this prompt.
- Test the connection. Confirm that your internet connection is working, and restart your router if appropriate. If you use Wi-Fi, a temporary wired connection can help determine whether connection stability is involved. EA recommends wired networking for stability in its general guidance for network error EC:10005, but an Ethernet test is not a guaranteed fix for this activation message.
- Verify the linked account if you use Steam or another storefront. The EA Account currently signed into the EA app needs to be the account linked to the game. Follow EA’s account-linking instructions to check the relationship. Do not unlink accounts as an early troubleshooting step.
If the prompt remains
EA’s general app troubleshooting provides useful context, but its error codes should not be mistaken for a confirmed code behind this FC 26 prompt. EA describes EC:10000 as an EA Account authentication problem and advises checking the connection and login details. For EC:10500, EA says an authentication error may result from a service outage, recommends clearing the EA app cache, and suggests trying again later if the issue continues. For EC:10005, EA identifies a possible home-network or internet issue and recommends connection troubleshooting.
